please don't respond to private message email alerts

bump, this is still an issue. had 3 emails to the automated forum email today alone..

I can feel you since in my last company, people keep reply all everyday

I noticed not long ago that I no longer receive emails upon receipt of PMs, even though I still have checked "Notify me by email when I receive a new Private Message".  After a quick read of this thread, I can see what a problem this is for you, and I would understand if you have disabled the feature.  Is that the case?  (And FWIW, I myself do not not recall replying to PM email notifications via email.)

I noticed this a few days ago as well. I quickly checked into it a day or 2 ago and didn't see any obvious issues. I'll dig a little deeper over the next few days to see if I can track down the issue.

I did recently disable a plugin, perhaps that caused some quirks in the mail system...not sure, though!

12/6 was last occurrence of PM emails for me. I was intending to mention it but thought it might be a temporary service disruption.

Hi andrewjs18. FYI: I just received an email about a PM that was sent to me by mrdoug on 12/07/2023 at 12:16PM. So if you are tinkering, there are some results. OTOH, there are other, more recent PMs for which I have not received emails.

I think I figured out the issue, by manually running some tasks, but I'm not entirely sure why it's failing on automatic runs, just yet.
