I must say it is a very nice brush, indeed. The handle is really beautiful, and the knot is just soft and lovely. Mostly hooked, gel tips, and extremely soft. Definitely going directly into rotation, with this one.
Thanks again, zaclikestoshave , for such an awesome PIF!
Hi Chris, thanks for reporting back in this thread. Glad it arrived safely. Don't know if you find the soft or gel tips to be totally advantageous but can you let me know if you used it to massage your neck or scalp? How did it work with circular and painting strokes?
Cheers!
I always use a combination of circular and painting strokes. My process is to get the lather about 80% ready in the scuttle, and then finish the building process on my scalp, using massaging, circular motions. Then I smooth it all out with painting strokes.
This is my second "gel tip" brush, and I do love the softness. Having the feeling of air applying the lather, but still having good backbone and support is fantastic.
This thing loads very easily, accumulating a large supply of proto lather, and readily turning it into a fantastic, slick lather rapidly. It was effortless in loading and building, and application was very soft and enjoyable.
It's definitely going in to the top of the rotation. One of my top 3 brushes, for sure.
Any idea what species of wood was used for the handle? It really has a gorgeous grain patter. Pictures cannot do the handle justice. Excellent sizing, and absolutely gorgeous!
