Walk the dog every morning. She's going to be 8 years old this summer and have only missed one day in her life. Go to the gym 5 days a week during the winter and take long walks in the warmer months.

I think I hurt myself last week. We were about to go to the beach, being the genius that I am, I decided to do some compound lifts in a rush before we left. Now my neck hurts so bad, it's been 2 days now. I wanted to go lift a little today but I'm second guessing if I should. Any tips? Suggestions? Insights?

It's like a stiff neck, but I have more problems looking up and down rather than left to right, although there is also discomfort when I do so.

I've been doing powerlifting for a bit now (competed last summer and hit a 419 squat, 286 bench, 501 deadlift!) Working through some foot injury stuff currently, though so I've been stuck doing some pretty awful-feeling erging. At some point those sorts of things should be soothing right?

I go to the gym 3-4 times a week for 2-3 hours each time, weights and cardio.

Used to play tennis 2 times a week, and golf 2 times a week- but my knees made me stop.

I lift weights 3 days a week 45-60 minute tops and at least twice a week cardio sometimes 3 if I feel up to it and all the chores are done for the week. Cardio is usually 25 minutes on recumbent bike and 20-25 minutes on treadmill. Always end workouts with 20-25 minutes in the sauna. Been lifting off and on for 39 years now with first year getting knowledge and learning what was best for me with training then next 17 years living the bodybuilding lifestyle. Never competed did it to challenge myself but told numerous time I should compete. Old habits are hard to let go and still do high intensity lifting that served me well in my youth and have to admit LOVE the fact I can still out lift 80% of the gym at the ripe old age of 59.

One hour (around 3.5 miles) on the treadmill at a 10-12 degree incline today, while watching NFL football. I walk on the treadmill 6 days a week, 3.5 miles on 4 of them and 5 miles on 2 days (when my wife is at work and unable to monitor me against "overdoing it"). We live in a senior housing apartment complex with a pretty good gym, with 2 treadmills, 2 different kinds of stationary bike, a stairstepper, free weights, and Pilates equipment. My wife especially likes the reclined bike because she can watch video blogs on her Kindle while she exercises; she doesn't like my sports/sci fi/action movie TV choices.
