Double open comb razor.
On my third shave with it, the first shave wasn't so great, I was starting to get worried because I really wanted this razor to work for me. The second and third shave went progressively well, I think I just had to get used to it, once I got into the zone with it and found the right angles I started having good shaves, tonight's shave with it was great. I would highly recommend this razor, its best feature is the rinse

The PAA DOC is one of my favorites. I usually use mine on a stainless handle because I like something with a bit more heft. But I've had many a great shave with it for sure.

I picked up a Maggard open comb because I've always wanted to try and OC razor. Any idea how the two heads compare?

I love this razor..I picked it up as part of the travel kit with the handle that breaks down..incredibly close shaves while being surprisingly mild IMO.

Same here, love the razor,it gives me really good shaves for being such a mild razor. I get better shaves with it than my EJ89. I love it

It's an interesting design for sure. If the price is reasonable l may pull the trigger on it.
lt looks like the upper comb has NO effect on shaving. I think it only adds to the aesthetics?

I had one of these (before USPS lost it). It's definitely unique and the shave is much milder than you'd anticipate by looking at it.

IME, the top comb works the best with higher volume soaps (eg: MdC clones). I'd also echo the sentiment of using a heftier handle. I had mine on a Matador Toro Mastiff Corto and it was perfect.

I've also been really liking this razor.  I didn't think I'd like the stock handle - I'm used to stainless - but the super light combination is actually growing on me.  For some reason this gave me the courage to try J hooking on some problem spots, and it works great - maybe the lightness  helps?  Perhaps it just encourages a light touch.

I am using an IKon handle on mine that retails for about $35.00. It really improved my enjoyment of the razor!
