For me it is not such a big deal, except for the people being laid off.  I have found Personna quality to be inconsistent among the various blades they market.

Energizer recently spun off from its parent company Edgewell. Edgewell will continue to sell their personal care brands, which include Personna and Wilkinson Sword. The news is that Edgewell is looking for acquisitions to grow their personal care lines. http://edgewell.com/brands/
I think we're going to be seeing our blue labs and red Israelis for a long time.

Is this one of the first signs of the Shavepocalypse? What's next razors that vibrate and roll around on a plastic ball, wait a minute...........

Lol, you mentioned this and I immediately associated the "modern day" mass marketed razor to a vacuum. I swear I've seen a vacuum that pivots on a plastic ball... If you're wondering where shave technology is going next, just look at the latest advancements in vacuum technology Tongue

I really don't want to lose Personna blades.  If they discontinue them then I will make a youtube video of me playing the guitar and singing the "Lab Blues". I thought that was clever... maybe not.

Did you not see the early promotional video for the ball "technology" Gillette are using now. Have a look at this.

What in the... I definitely did not see that before. I don't know who or what to feel sorry for here - the poor technique, the poor sap who had to shave with that, or to whose who watched at home and thought "I really need to get this razor".

Of course if you're a cart shaver and reading this, no disrespect :Smile Use what works for you!

I'm sorry, but I have to know. To where does that suction tube lead? And maybe more importantly, who is going to clean it?

Gillette has managed to amuse the world with a number of outrageous fiascos these past few years. It is gratifying to see that they are still striving to outdo themselves.

What's next? Hey, King, old man how about do it yourself, make your own flint blades for the suckers.
