So... How'd it go?

I jumped on the opportunity too.

Packs arrived well packed. The lubricants between the blades dried up and got a bit tacky so I had to pry the first blade out with a small precision screwdriver, bit go it out ok..

Didn't notice any rust on the blade.

First shave was very smooth in my already smooth bbs1. Smother than med prep or a Russian  7 O'Clock blue. I will try the blade in a lesser razor next to see how it does.

I hope they last as long as people say....

Shave #1 went very well. I had a difficult time removing the blade as well. Today is shave #2; I am pairing the Personna 74 with my Gillette President.

Yep, I like the vintage theme!

I shall use my toggle next shave.

Warm them up a bit and they should slide out easily.

Thanks for the tip!

There are some Personna Super Platinum Chrome blades, which I believe are exactly the same as the 74s but with different labeling, listed now on the auction site at $29.99 for 25 blades shipped.

I have had to actually change out a blade because I didnt mark on the calendar when I dropped in a new blade. And yes, if you dont mark your calendar, you WILL lose track. I would like to add to this thread, if you can source some vintage "Super Platinum Chrome", many, including myself, believe these were reboxed, P74s sold in the slider dispenser. The belief is that remaining P74 stock were sold in SPC packaging, and the sharp eyed vintage hunter can find a great deal and have a super shave without breaking the bank.

But anytime you can find P74s for less than 2 bucks a blade, thats a deal.

I was tempted, but stopped myself somehow. It's a good thing I'm sober lol.

Did you have your Designated Sober Internet Scroller holding the mouse for you keeping you out of trouble?

I hope you realize there isnt a 12 step program for the problem most of us have on this site, aside from indulging in adult beverages.
