People that sell shaving gear, I need some help making shipping easier

In my experience UPS and/or FEDEX is marginally better only on heavy weights, 20+ pounds. In the normal weight range we shavers operate the different carriers are all in the ballpark.

13oz is the magical number for 1st class, you can always get 1 soap in 1st class weight, under $4. 2 or 3 soaps in normal shaped tubs can be put in a flat rate envelope for $6.65. When splashes are added it needs to be boxed and that's where it can get pricey. If you understand the postal zones relative to where you live you can send heavy items within your postal zone for a reasonable sum, once you start going coast to coast that reasonable sum can easily double. That's when it pays to use the Flat Rate boxes you can get for free which is a nice touch. I save and reuse most of the boxes my items arrive in so I don't have to pay for boxes if I resell something.

Personally I like to go to the post office, I don't want a scale at home, I've yet to own a printer that doesn't have a mind of it's own and the less I have to buy ink refills the better!

Going to the Post Office here is a royal PITA.
When I go to Paypal, I can't find a postage-only method. Everything on PayPal revolves around something that's been sold and invoiced through them.

Am I missing the obvious?

Getting to that part of PayPal is a challenge, but I got there. And I think it may work. I'll get the envelope ready and weighed tomorrow and try it.

The link is in the left side of the page after you log in. It opens in a separate window and is not very intuitive, but it works alright.

There is indeed a 1st class option on myusps.com. it is 1st class parcel select. This is the option you will want to use to if you are under 13 ounces. Over that you end up in priority mail.

I ONLY use USPS shipping through MYUSPS.com and find the tracking very reliable. I schedule pickup by carrier during regular delivery. Nothing gets shipped by me without tracking.

Your right Max. There isnt an option. I sold a bunch of electronics on Ebay and when you click and ship through Ebay you can select 1st class parcel.

Sorry for the misinformation on my part. Only deal to be had on myusps is using regional A boxes when possible.

I think a stamps.com account may allow you some flexibility in parcel select.

What I do is this:

1. Log into PayPal in one tab of browser

2. Then in another tab I open, PayPal.com/shipnow

It is easier than it sounds, and you can do all kinds of shipping through this. Cheapest is 2.61, u can do international, APO, padded flat rate and everything else.
