My much loved and trusted pelikan 805 performed a triple gainer with twists to perfection;but, splashed on entry into the slate floor. Nasty broken, bloody nose. It's around 12 yrs old, and has been a good pen, heavily used and carried over that time; for sure six continents but no space travel or Antarctica. My second most used pen after my Edson. I would like to replace the nib with an EF instead of the original F, but I have no clue where to purchase, way too many choices. New or Used is okay. Please recommend some trusted vendors to me; also, I don't always shop price.

Thanks for the suggestion Freddy. I remember sending back another Pelikan to Chartpak for a nib swap. I'm also trying to be proactive in regards to FPAS as I was cured about 10 years ago. lol Fountain pens and mechanical pencils have been my kink since elementary school and have collected for forever.

SO I'M NOT ALONE! YAY!Big Grin  I still have the Parker 45 with medium nib that I bought about 1962-1963 while I was in high school.  I currently have six of my fountain pens inked, seven if I count my Kaweco Sport everyday carry, which is probably about five too many.  But I NEED different colored inks at a moment's notice, right? Right?Blush

I grew up in bfe  Texas but on the off chance we went into Houston I would beg to go to Texas Art Supply. It was incredible, like Pasteurs is for shaving. All of my drafting supplies came from TAS, yeah pre auto cad boy here. Independent office supply stores are no more so looking and scouting isn't as fun as it once was. My last pen purchase was an Omas 360 b&w, marble, celluloid; ex fine italic. Wait, I bought a MB Mozart to for a friend, I wanted to keep it it was so cool and tiny, she loves it. Nada mas! I just need a nib, just a nib. I never sell my pens; regret is more painful than a broken heart. This also applies to firearms, golf clubs, especially putters, watches, cufflinks and razors. Internet forums are like 12 step meetings with no steps or goals; you meet up with people with bent, warped minds and feed the fire. At least it's not Bob Mackie Barbies like my buddy.....but he loves them. His mileage varies lol
