It definitely has more blade feel and is more efficient. The 17-4 and the Ti2 are definitely more mild than the original but efficient in my opinion. The Ti2 like my other Ti versions off SS razors Ie Timeless and Wolfman feel different but our equally effective
I totally agree with your assessment owning all three as well

...and how many passes do you do to get BBS? What kind of hair have you got? How often do you shave? And what are your other razors? Really comments like yours make people buy this razor then they’ll regret. Can we at least agree on the fact that the finish of this razor is not even close to a Wolfman and not worth that kind of money?

I agree with you we all have different hair owning many Wolfman razors I sold them all, probably one of the best built razors but they did not shave me the best. I own all three Paradigm Razors, Timeless. 95 ss and Ti
Charcoal Goods level 2& 3, Tatara SB &OC Rex Rocnel Sailor Blackbird SB polished and other high-end razors which I enjoy the shave more. I have a tough beard with sensitive skin

So would you say that the Paradigm 2 is as efficient as the Timeless 0.95? I find the timeless a lot more efficient, 2 passes for BBS as opposed to 3 and 1/2

I just hope I'll be able to grab one when being released!
Cheers!

I’m going to wait for the next release of the 17-4. Kicking myself for not getting one when they came out but I have so many DE razors I just didn’t feel like I needed another one.

I really don't know where you read that the 17-4 will be available again. 17-4 is out of production (and it won't come back). Keep it in mind. Buy it at some BST, if you find it. I saw some people being 'undecided' during some sales in UK. Wrong thoughts about Paradigm production. Or Andy should be more clear.

Andy has made the comment that although he had originally said he had no plans of rereleasing the 17-4 he was reconsidering do to its popularity but it wouldn’t be until after the release of the SE. I think Artisans reserve the right to change there mind and I find it refreshing that Andy is listening to feedback from his customers and trying to adapt with it.

I think this is YMMV. I have or had well over 150 razors currently my regulars are Paradigm Timeless.95 all 3 Baseplate Ti Wolfman .74 DC and CG 3 along with Rx and Cobra Classic MMOC and Sabre 2. My beard is grey and wirery Only the most aggressive razors give me 2 pass with touch up BBS. The Paradigm Ti 2 nearly equals that and is smoother as a daily driver. For me. The build quality of the Paradigm is excellent. This is my opinion as you have yours The only way anyone knows for sure is to try it.

It is not frustratingly mild (AS-D2 or Guerrilla) but if you are used to a Timeless 0.95, Wolfman 0.74, a Muhle R41, a Fatip etc then you will be disappointed (that is me). You need 3 passes and touch ups to get BBS, a lot of work. Don't be fooled by people who say it's efficient, it obviously depends on your hair and skin and all that but in my opinion it's an inefficient razor.
Just giving my honest opinion after trying it and selling it.

I’m curious what makes your experience more valid than others? I completely get and believe you when you say that for you the paradigm is a mild razor and I have a friend who would agree with you but I don’t understand how you can state that other people’s claims are inaccurate especially when you state everyone’s skin and hair is different. I think most of the users, including myself agree that the razor is incredibly smooth and efficient. I have no issue achieving and excellent shave with my normal two passes. I’m sure if your use to a more aggressive hen this will come off as mild just as I have a friend who finds the 17-4 too aggressive. Ask people need to take into consideration what blades are being used. I find the feather to be the optimal blade for the paradigm where I wouldn’t consider using it with some other razors. Anyway, basically I’m saying in a long winded version that I think everyone’s experience is valid and useful for people who. Considering a razor and do t understand why someone would say the contrary.

Again: that (still) means nothing.
We'll see. 17-4 won't be available again for sure.

I agree with you about the IMHO situation. As always. But I also think that someone often confuses smoothness with efficiency. In this last time 'smooth' is the word, and a lot of us forget the real efficiency. But I'm not discussing how Paradigm works for others now. Just sayig to look better.
By the way the build quality is very good, but polishing is not good. On Paradigm Ti II we can see a sortal of brush finish - it's not well polished (you don't see your image as well as a mirror).

Fwiw I love the 17-4 but sold my Ti2. For that kind of price I need to LOVE a razor and while I really liked the Ti2 it wasn’t a must keep for me. Just my 2 cents. To me, even through the geometry might be identical, the shaves were very different.
