My apologies for being insensitive to your post and question. Just a little fun and sarcasm. My fault as I should realize not everyone has a sense of humor. Stupid me........

No need to apologize - I do have a sense of humor....it's just having that Thanksgiving hangover you mentioned. I guess I was being a little sarcastic too - sorry about that.

4th shave with the Paradigm SE and 4th use Feather super Pro. WTG then XTG and I was BBS on my Cheeks DFS everywhere else so did a 3rd pass ATG, it was super smooth and BBS everywhere. I am using a very shallow angle, close to a gem but not quite as much it is definitely a Paradigm type shave Smooth and efficient.

Agreed. With the Pro Super that little tiny bit of extra blade exposure and the acute bevel on the blades edge gives it that feel while still retaining really good smoothness.

I'm going to throw a little bit of blasphemy out there. So I just got my Paradigm SE and had my first shave with it today. It was a good for a first shave. That said, one thing that struck me was the polished finish. I typically prefer brushed finishes. I feel like the polished finish makes the razor a bit more slippery. The knurling on the handle is already not that great and with the Polished finish it makes me feel even less secure. I was wondering about the possibility of possibly brushing the Finish myself.  I think I would like the look and I think it would improve the grip of the razor.  I refinished my aluminum bicycle in brushed and it looks terrific. It was not difficult. That said I'm not sure about doing it on the titanium surface or whether or not it would mess up the head itself and create too much drag. It would have to be a really fine brush like you see on Wolfman brushed finishes.  Anyone have any thoughts on this? Andy, can you please chime in?

I hadn't thought so based on prototype, but in a word: yes.

You could do it with Scotch Brite. But I don't think it will really improve your grip, and you run the risk of destroying the finish.

Yes, I am totally retracting that. The polishing process has smoothed things out to where the Pro Supers fit. It didn't work for shit in the prototype. Jammed the cap.

My Super Pros arrived today and again can confirm they do fit. I did feel a slight increase in resistance as I slid the cap on but I just went slow and deliberate and the cap slid and clicked in place just fine. Fingers crossed this little extra bit of blade exposure will make my first pass a little more efficient on multi day growth.

Heard back from Andy this evening and he confirmed that the Pro Supers work better in the production razors than the prototypes. He is going to acquire some Pro Super for himself. I see that he has also retracted his earlier comment in a post on this site. I'm going to order some too.
