Apparently, not so.
Can someone who has both offer their take?

There was minimal blade feel. I would say more than the RS-10 mild and perhaps more than other mild razors. But not significantly so like most medium aggressive razors. Again I used a Pannacrema Nuavia which would protect anyway so I need to get some more experience. I didn't notice any blade chatter. It felt rigid. It did give nice audible feedback on the first pass and was so efficient first pass that it was quieter 2nd pass and clean up. The finish is ok, nothing special. It is better than a machined surface. I like it better than a matte finish. However, it is not highly polished. It has an eggshell appearance. Much like painting has an orange peel texture without wet sanding. However, the grain is smaller in this hence an eggshell like texture.
Had my second shave with the DB on a 48hrs growth. Used a fresh Feather blade to ramp up the aggressiveness level. Same soap, same brush. Same smoooooth three passes with a bit of cleanup. I usually get exceptional BBS shaves on that long a growth with my benchmark razors. Today's shave was similar, but I am finding this razor a tad too heavy and not as aggressive as I like. With the brushed finish it looks awesome ( fewer imperfections are noticeable) and all in all it is a great razor.
Though it is my only second shave I already made up my mind. Given that I have the original TiI and a few other razors that check all boxes, the DB is going to look for another master.

Alex

ANG69 - I only have one shave with the DB, but I found it extremely efficient. I didn't shave today, but my growth today is less than normal the next day. By not aggressive enough, do you just mean that it doesn't give you enough blade feel, or do you feel it isn't efficient enough? I don't feel it is as efficient as a CG Lvl-2 or a Blackland Vector or the Paradigm SE. It has a completely different feel than the RS-10 Mild, but the lack of blade feel with high efficiency of the DB reminds me most of the Raw in result.
I also completely agree with you on the weight distribution. My immediate impression is that the razor was slightly too heavy. However, I picked up a Timeless and the 17-4 and it wasn't noticeably heavier in the hand. I did however notice that the DB might be a little more head heavy in distribution. I also found the weight distribution led me more to using the weight of the head in the shave, rather than being heavy handed with pressure.

I compared it directly with the Paradigm TiI and the TiI is an absolute winner, especially when I shave after a couple of days of no action.

Does the DB allow for different handles? I know the 17-4 did not and that was my problem with it. Handle was too short for me.
