Ai I was expecting a bit more then (I know it's just one persons review). The razorback was to be a improved Javelin, well that one certainly is a fantastic and efficient razor. Didn't like the BBS-1 either, found the WR2 wolfman also to be almost identical to the BBS-1 in shaving so those are gone too.

The mfr statement on efficiency a few weeks ago was this:

"It's similar to Ti 1 in efficiency, more user friendly. Am I allowed to say that it's our best DE to date?
Given the level of efficiency, it's pretty darn easy and safe to shave with. The gap at .8 is pretty healthy."

Be interesting to see what further usage and reviews reveal.

Nevertheless, I just finished my first shave. I used Nuavia Rosa and a Nacet blade. First and foremost - the razor shaves smoothly with a nice understated audio feedback. The handle, when wet, is not slippery and is quite maneuverable. The shaving angle was extremely easy to find.

WTG and XTG passes went uneventful in a good way. I could close my eyes and still shave without any worry to cut myself. Unfortunately, after these two passes I still had plenty of stubble to remove. I will use the razor a few more times to make a more informed decision. Meanwhile I will reach out to WCS to discuss possible improvements of the finish. Though it might be still too early, I am most probably going to put this razor for sale or trade in a couple of weeks. Stay tuned and ask questions.

Alex

If this razor is as efficient as BBS-1, many shavers will get very close shave and will love Diamondback.
I used Ti 2, it was milder than BBS-1. And many of you found as very efficient.
According to Andy, Diamondback is more efficient than Ti2 and 17-4. Some of us are old or have thick and curly hair, who need to use very aggressive razors.
I recommend you use it with KAI or Feather blades, before decided to sell it.

Thank you for the suggestion! For my next shave (36 hours growth) I will use it with a Feather blade and report promptly.

Received my Diamondback yesterday and took it for a run today. Amazing shave. I found it smoother than the Ti II v2 and 17-4. It is also extremely efficient. In full disclosure I used Pannacrema Nuavia which makes it hard to get a bad shave. However, I was still extremely impressed with the result of the razor. I will perform more shaves in the future with other software.

I am looking forward to other's results.

I had my hopes up when I read that the Diamondback was similar to Ti 1.
Apparently, not so.
Can someone who has both offer their take?

I've never used the Ti 1, but from what I read it was more aggressive than the Ti II.  I can definitely say the Diamondback does not feel more aggressive than the Ti II, but again I feel improved efficiency.  Perhaps the Diamondback matches Ti 1 efficiency with a smoother shave? IDK!  Maybe Shavemd or Dragonsbeard might be able to weigh in if they get their hands on a Diamondback.

Unfortunately I missed out on getting a Diamondback. Sounds like it is a very smooth efficient razor as promised, maybe I can get one when Andy has his release.
