Ok, here goes:

3/30: Andy announces the re-release of the DB in a dedicated DFS thread, promising some positive reviews on the way
4/4: 1st glowing review is posted
4/9: 2nd glowing review posted
4/10: 3rd glowing review posted
4/14: 4th glowing review posted
4/15-20: Ok, you get the picture....several more glowing reviews
4/21: Andy posts to the DB2020 thread, “Anybody that wants a razor, I just posted a bunch on my website. There will be more, too, just polishing them.”
4/22-5/4: More positive reviews and discussion takes place
5/5: The last recorded occurrence (in the thread) of someone taking delivery of a new DB2020

Call it a one month window....or a solid 3+ weeks after the positive reviews started rolling in.

Yup, I purchased my diamondback a couple weeks after the release. I had been contacting Shane, from Blackland, occasionally regarding the Tradere release. I really wanted one or the other and had wanted the tradere first so I just wanted to see how the release was going. For me, it took way too long from the given time frame, so I went ahead and purchased the diamondback. Absolute amazing razor. I had ample time to read reviews, go back and forth whether I wanted the razor. It wasn't the type of thing that you had to immediately purchase.

I haven't used mine since the first two weeks of ownership.  IIRC, I loved it.  Too many freaking razors  Confused

Andy said "A big part of the purpose of the collaboration is to end the "unobtainium" aspect of Paradigm razors."  Andy also said "Stuff will still hopefully sell out, but going six and eight months between razor drops is nuts."

It sounds like what you need to make your razors more readily available is to make either more frequent production runs, or larger production runs, and it sounds like you already understand this.  How will a collaboration with Mo change that?  I can see how getting Mo's creative input might help you come up with an interesting new razor design, but the part I just don't get is how working with him helps you solve your product availability issues.  Could you help me connect the dots on this point?

I hope you make them shiny, people are obsessed with shiny stuff and it won’t sell if it isn’t. Your latest release was proof of that. I am curious to see what you come up with next.

David, welcome to DFS. This is the most free-speech oriented wet shaving forum on the web. If you are a vendor like me, it's paradise, because nobody thinks you are a criminal for talking about your products. A lot of guys out here really know their stuff, too. Anyway, have fun, and again, welcome.

YMMV. I appreciate polished pieces but prefer a machine finish.

I prefer a satin or bead blasted finish myself. I enjoy the industrial look.

That was just a comment based on what I have seen over the years, not a knock on anyone.
