Anytime I have ever tried one I get two great shaves, but the edge becomes harsh after the WTG pass on the 3rd shave and I have to change blades to finish the shave. Nacet blades are nearly as sharp and seem to last a few shaves longer.

The only way I can use Feather blades is to dedicate them to a milder razor for use on ATG and clean-up passes where the limited contact with stubble will allow the blades to last longer. They just do not withstand multiple WTG passses, especially with multi-day beard growth and a tough beard.
Well I don't keep a blade around for very long anyway, usually.
I think this feather has maybe the three shaves on it so use it or bank it either way I'm okay.
I'm not too good to take a blade out during the shave and swapping up to another one.
In fact I kind of like doing that, haha.
Nacet is a good blade for me in a lot of razors.

I just don't like that Feather blades are expensive (currently selling for $50 per 100 blades on Amazon), yet I can only get 2.25 x four-pass shaves from the blade. There are many blades costing a fraction of that price that give me four great shaves. Nacets sell for something like $14-17 for 100 blades, about a third of the price of Feathers. I could use Feather blades for two shaves only and still put food on the table, but why spend money when you do not have to do so?

Today was my last shave with the Paradigm Salient.
This shave was with a Kai blade
I've managed to go through a few different blades in the time I've had this razor.
I don't usually use Kai blades but really really good, as expected.
I probably wouldn't use this blade much and the razor but it definitely worked good not a problem.
Another nice close efficient comfortable shave as expected with no drama.
I packed the razor up and got it to the USPS today for jbreakfield
I want to thank dtownvino  for sharing his razor with me and the other gents also.
Thank you Mike that's very kind of you![Image: 8KhzPA3.jpg]

So my Sunday morning shave with the new satin finished Paradigm Salient I just got. I was going back and forth on whether to get the satin or polished finish but for practical purposes I went with the satin finish and I’m glad I did. The Salient looks good in polished but for me I like the look even better in the satin finish. I’ve had a pretty crazy work schedule lately so 75% of my shaves are quick 2 pass in shower shaves and with the satin finish it’s less likely that I’ll scratch it. Shave is pretty much identical to the polish and I feel no drag at all so hats off to Andrew on the finish. I find the razor smooth and efficient and I like the fact that just adjusting the angle enables me to use the different shaving characteristics of this razor. I’m very happy with the purchase and the shaves I get. Today was a total Bay Rum shave and it’s a treat to have a nice relaxing out of the shower shave. Used a Polsilver blue blade which is one of my two favorites.

Great shaves!
