Superb, truly. But, I will say that it wasn’t perfection. Let me explain. The feeling is so smooth and easy on the skin, I over compensated on a couple of strokes thinking that I needed to go over an area when it wasn’t necessary. I get more blade feel from my Timeless Ti so I was using my accustomed feel to my Timeless and transferring that thought process to the Diamondback Ti. Bad idea as the Diamondback still has exceptional cutting ability without feeling as assertive as the Timeless Ti. It just feels softer on my skin and to me I translated it to requiring a bit more pressure in certain areas. I gave myself about half a dozen weepers that was completely on me and nothing to do with the razors performance whatsoever. Chalk it up to a user on his first time use and I won’t make that mistake again. This razor gives a soft and warm like feel that is in direct correlation to the alloy itself but, trust me the razor is doing some serious whisker reducing work. I was done in 2.5 passes with a quick buff on the chin (3 weepers there). Cold splash and a quick alum run proved only the smallest of heat on the chin. No discomfort anywhere else with just dolphin like smooth skin on both face & neck.

This razor cuts and it cuts very, very well. Don’t let that buttery smoothness on skin feel fool you. It will lull you to shave sleep with its uber comfortable feel, balance with just about the perfect weight and before you know it you’re in weeperville. The mistakes I made tonight won’t happen again and I really am looking forward to achieving shaving bliss with this marvelous whisker reducing tool. I’m not saying this one is special. Yet. But, it’s going to be fun finding out in the next few shaves if it gets there.

Muscle memory is great...but when transferred to a new geometry, it can let you down.

I'm sure you'll be singing hosannas in the next couple of shaves.

If any of you gents decide to move on from the Ti Diamondback I am interested.  I owned the Diamondback SS at one time (twice actually) and felt it was a little to heavy for my liking. I still have the Paradigm SE and love it! Very intrigued to try the Diamondback in titanium.

I’ll be honest with you my friend. I to had the Paradigm SE Ti and that was probably the most comfortable razor ever produced in my humble opinion. Unfortunately, it was just slightly lacking in its ability to give a slightly more assertive/aggressive/efficient shave for me. Only the Pro Supers made it shine for me. I moved it on to someone who was going to appreciate it more than I. This one however, is on another level to that SE. You might probably see a few but, I strongly doubt you’re going to see a mass exodus of shaving individuals moving this razor on. What I’m saying is, just be a little more patient as there will be another run according to posts here in this thread. Plus, the demand that this type of shave news promotes will inherently drive up the price because of demand and hype. For me, the hype is legit but, don’t despair just yet. Get on a waitlist or pre-order list and just hang on. Totally worth it if you ask me and you’ll save a few $$$.

A smooth blade combined with minimal blade feel razor results in lack of "blade feedback". You might not even realize you got weepers during the shave, but you could see them after completing the final pass. Feather and Kai blades increase the feedback with this razor.

No surprises in this shave in any aspect. Just smooth and easy on every stroke. I was a little more methodical in tonight’s approach and was excellently rewarded with a solid 2 pass shave without nothing else required. I started my first pass ATG and the D-back Ti took to it like a bear to honey. The next pass was XTG and left no doubt on the smooth skin left behind top to bottom. The Gillette Platinum was uber smooth and sharp from its first go last night and just cut through the stubble like a champ. Not a single issue nor a weeper to be seen. I did notice that the D-back actually does have a decent cutting window but, as a poster here before me has stated it does work substantially better and smoother operating it and angled towards the safety bar. It’ll work riding it towards the cap but, it’s not as effective or smooth.

A quick word on last nights shave. I can’t pinpoint exact time of length on the longevity of the shave. I got up about 4am today and still had a smooth and clean shaven face. I got to work about 5:30am and sometime between 6-7, I felt the first hint of stubble. I shaved at roughly 8 pm the night before so, I’ll say tentatively I got just about 10 hours of longevity. Not bad for a smooth and easy shaver on my first attempt. If your an early am shaver, one can expect a full workday of smooth skin in the office or place of business.

Two shaves in and I’ll say it again. This is a super smooth shaver, Gents.

Great shaves to all….

Based on the review above, from what have read about the SS version of this razor, the latter appears to be a tad more efficient.
While the Ti may be smoother and more comfortable on the face.

That's a good trade-off, as I prefer razors that skew towards comfort these days.

I rarely shave unless the stubble gets to at least 2mm or so...otherwise, I don't feel like any resistance between
face and razor.

I received my razor yesterday. I'm a bit confused about the decision to put a highly polished $350 razor inside a burlap bag to bang around inside a wooden box during shipping. A foam insert or even some bubble wrap would have made me feel better. I'll post my first impressions when I shave with it in the next couple days.

I didn't like that either especially since the handle became loose during shipping, but it at least wasn't damaged.

Yep I think at least the little bubble wrap or paper around the razor and then the bag too.
Just needs a little bit of buffer against the shipping elements, the little box is kind of cool.
