I think he knows that he'd just get massacred if he came on the boards to address the issues. I don't think it would do him any good. I wonder if a lot of people have canceled their orders, I kindof hope so...

So are you saying he doesn't deserve it? He should've been honest with everyone and came clean that they razors weren't even Mfg'd on the release date!! It was nothing more than a glorified Pre-Pay... Between 4 forums I have only seen maybe 4-5 razors in the wild to date and this was supposed to be a release of over 100 razors. I think he should come on the forum just to offer a sincere apology for lying to everyone about this release which in reality should probably be his last!!

I’m not saying that at all. I’m saying it’s not a surprise he isn’t coming on the boards to try to defend himself because he’d clearly get crucified.

I guess given his history we might have guessed what was going on when he previewed such a non-Paradigm style razor and then disclosed that it was made in China. It was plausible that he had ordered stock but recent history tells us that he simply does not have the financial resources to make or sell razors. It was a false dawn and from the way this is playing out, the end of trust in Paradigm as a shaving brand.

By all appearances this was an attempt to get us to finance his project to re-enter the razor market. And with the suspicion that this may even have been an off-the-shelf Chinese manufaturer’s razor design with a few cosmetic tweaks, it’s almost better if buyers don’t get their razors to determine whether that’s the case or not. It wouldn’t surprise me at this point.

What if he had been honest and started a crowd-funding to bring back a real Paradigm razor? Would you have supported that? I guess definitely not now.

Ok guys, I've taken long enough to review this razor, so here it is....

I wasn't happy with the aesthetics when I first saw it, and didn't like the handle, but now that I have it, it isn't nearly as bad. The handle while not the prettiest, is very comfortable. The razor seems very well built, so there shouldn't be any concerns about quality because it was made in China.

Shaving WTG feels great. It's efficient enough and smooth. But unfortunately, I have not been able to get along with it going ATG. I get a ton of nicks and a decent amount of irritation, which I never ever get.

I tend to like more efficient, blade forward razors, so I'm not sure why this one isn't working for me. Brian's (charcoal goods) razors also didn't work for me. Not even the L2, so there's that.

All in all, I think this razor is a great value. Don't let my experience deter you as everyone is different and you can't really know if you'll like something until you try it. Plus, Andy has a 30 day return policy.

I'm not giving up on it yet. I'll give it another go in the future.

I don't think so. I don't think that's an issue as I've had razors with very terrible blade clamping that shave extremely well (think blackbird or RS-10). I don't think there's anything wrong with the razor design. I think it's just me.
