Awesome reviews everyone! I really believe the Paradigm Diamondback titanium is the first time a shave experience cannot be adequately described through a written review. Everyone who has the opportunity to try this razor should do themselves a favor! It’s an excellent razor!

The list as I have it now is:

1.) Dragonsbeard  - NY completed
2.) TommyCarioca - KY completed
3.) ewk - SC - completed
4.) spacemonkey42 - MA completed

5.) bbssboss - MA has razor 7/31
6.) bayourider - LA
7.) Dayman  - GA
8.) Cutty Sharp - KY
9.) cigarman - MO completed
10.) SinCityAg  - NV
11.) Lesser- NY

I made some minor tweaks here to help with keeping a razor in a region and to keep it moving faster without major impact.

More can sign up as it’s passed around.  Just keep in mind of the rules:

Keep it like new
Always use a washer
Disinfect before sending on
Write up with pics
Try not to keep more than a week (get your 2-7 shaves in with it and move it on).

Please insure the razor for 300 dollars when you ship it and we may edit the list order to make shipments faster.

Enjoy Gentleman!

Summary: A sleek minimalist razor, light weight to wield, cuts stubble with a whisper or with a piano sound depending on the angle of shave.

Details: The finish is immaculate, the handle design I am convinced is poetry in hierographic from the ancient Egyptians. The channels in the base plate rinse away lather like how a youngster makes candy disappear on Halloween.

For the first shave with it, I paired it with a new Gillette Platinum (Russian) blade and partnered them with the Los Jossera soap, got on with my morning shave with a smile and a tune... the razor does your bidding real easy, no fuss, smooth over the face, easy under the nose and chin. 2 pass and some buffing gets me a BBS. Nice 8-hour lasting shave with some irritation likely caused by me pushing the razor slightly more than necessary as it's so nonchalant in its shaving approach, will pair it with a Feather blade as its next dance partner.

The finish of course is wonderful, to nit-pick the handle felt like it could do with some more knurling and the threading of the screw between the head and handle at this price point is ok (in line with Timeless, just below Yates, quite distant from a Wolfman)

So, the question is... is it a standout from the crowd, a possible legend in the making and brings bang for the buck visually and otherwise. That is TBD for me post 1 shave.

Stay tuned and happy to answer or clarify further.

Shave #2 - Star date 08/02/24

Our mission of razor exploration continues at light speed, we have approached a new galaxy of Paradigm on a spaceship named the Diamondback. The locals whisper its name with some reverence as they pay homage to the state of bliss called a BBS shave.

Paired with a fresh Feather and then protected with a force field of PannaCrema Nuavia the expeditionary force went to work on the terrain called the face, the ridges and valleys were skillfully navigated by the spaceship, and it deployed effective counter measures to minimize the 2-day growth. It sliced and sliced with the grace of a ballet dancer, the smoothness of a fine wine and pleased at every turn. Well designed and always up for tough assignment like around the jawlines it was harmonious with the man.

It performs so well that one could almost be bored in the expectation of its performance as it continues delivering BBSSs one after another. It's like a luxury sedan relative to an Italian sportscar.

Shave #3: (Actually its shave #5 but forgot to take pics SOTD style Smile

Cliff notes:

  1. Tell fellow shavers to buy it if they are looking for a mild, mid aggression everyday shaver in Ti.
  2. Almost any blade works great in it.
  3. Watch the pressure applied as one can push the razor thinking its not working... It is... it does
  4. It's like a Tech on steroids if you had to compare it to something. Smooth as Tech yet more efficient basically.
  5. Its premium- ish... if top of line finish is a Wolf then this is somewhat less, closer to Timeless.
  6. Get one yourself.
  7. Thanks Dtownvino profusely for arranging the pass around and being an all-round champion.
  8. Put on your game face... Smile and wave as the razor is packaged, insured, labeled and handed over to the USPS to be on its way to bayourider. Damn the unseasonal eye allergies...

1st Shave!!!

Mighty fine initial shave, smooth/close/comfortable.  The razor is very nice in hand too.  I'll use a different blade tomorrow to see what, if any, differences that might make and report back
