Every time I use something other than Feather, I find myself somewhat disappointed. Going to be an interesting comparison against TI 1. Different razors for sure.

Dragonsbeard sorry to hear about the irritation from the soap. Barber Shoppe has been my only exposure to LNHC and it is quite an amazing performer for me.

I got the 2020 DiamondBack, It has excellent finishing.
To compare with 2019 WCS version, I try to take same profile photo.

Carbon "++" vs Paradigm DiamondBack

I had one day growth, and got 2 pass WTG and ATG.
Used new Feather blade.

It is hard to say which one is more efficient, since they are really close to each other, but I can say under nose, "++" cut slight more efficient.
Paradigm is definitely more efficient than Carbon "+" and its efficiency is very close to "++".

DiamondBack (DB) has considerable less blade feel, and holding blade more rigid. I felt no blade vibration, whereas all Carbon versions have a bit. It has nice audible feedback.
DB is very very smooth, I mean it is incredible smooth for that high efficiency. It is definitely smoother than "++", I guess even more than Carbon Original.
Carbon "++" with feather is not that comfortable for a daily shave. I got slight irritation on my neck, but no irritation on DB's side.

I had been thinking not to get DB, but after Mark's review, decided to get one.
Previously, I found the price was high for WCS version, since it was initially announced as made of 303 steel and non-polished.
But, for this mirror polished razor (finish quality is as high as Wolfman), I can see the price is reasonable.

DB is an excellent razor. Highly recommended.

I would like to get Javelin Ti, too. Hope to the release will be soon. If it is possible and other members think similar, can you change the design of Javelin Handle?
I know the name of Javelin is coming from handle, but I am not thinking it is as attractive as other Paradigms.
Anyway, I will get it even you will use same handle. Good Luck Smile

CK89 I am so glad your experience with the Diamondback mirrors mine as I know you were not sure about it at first. I too am looking forward to a Ti Javelin in the near future. Great review!

I would pony-up for a Ti version of the 17-4 (misnomer of such a model is noted, hahahaha; and I refuse to pay secondary market markup for the original that I have seen the past couple years), and I don't even care about DE razors these days. Barring that, I am enjoying living vicariously through y'all.

All you need to do is stop caring about DE like I have and the wallet stays safe!   Big Grin
