What was the issue?
The top cap was the issue. On one of the sides of the top cap it was very sharp and unfinished. I ran my finger through it and it was really sharp. I think it was forgotten to be smoothed out or maybe it was machining mistake. Also the sides of the top cap were unfinished, very unfinished. And underside of the top cap is also unfinished. All in all I think it wasn’t even at factory seconds standard. The Good news is that Andy will stand by his product, at least I’m hoping. It’s on the way back to him.

I decided to have a late night shower and shave before hitting the sack and was not in the mood for a scent so not having any other unscented soap or aftershave I used my own ETHOS Grooming Essentials unscented " Clean Shave soap & Skin Food Splash. Also decided to do a quick side by side Shave Off using the 1.25 OC side of my Wolfman WR2 Ti DC 1.25/135 to see how it compares to my newly acquired Paradigm Diamondback. These two razors are both high polished versions and I gotta say the fit and finish on the Diamondback is up there with the Wolfman. I did a 2 pass WTG and ATG Shave and the end results has the DB with a touch more efficiency, less blade feel and also noticeably smoother. Next I’m going to try the 1.35 SB side of the WR2 Ti and see how that compares. I don’t do reviews on my own products but I will say there is absolutely no animal like scent coming from the duck fat and grass fed beef tallow. In fact the name clean fits the description perfectly and the funny thing is I named it before I made it.

Is the underside of the cap supposed to be polished? (Mine is not)

Hdad The underside of the cap does not have a mirror finish; next to impossible to get into small spaces back there. It is, however, inaccurate to say it is "not polished." I did it with my own hands, I should know. It should be smooth and uniform, but it is not a mirror.

Interesting. I’m curious how it made it out in this first place. Maybee got placed in the wrong pile.
