I believe you are missing the point of a true 3 pass shave with beard reduction. I could use one of my aggressive razors and mow down the whiskers in one pass with buffing but for me that is not an enjoyable shave. You Could use a 6 blade cart and be done in one pass if that is your thing. By the statement of calling me a sucker I believe you would be satisfied using a steak knife. I think the Shave is different things to different people. Some people actually use traditional wet shaving as a way to save money over carts. For me it’s 30 minutes out of my day that is relaxing to me, a time that I can clear my head and have a little quiet time. I can get a good shave with an old vintage razor or with an R89, but for me I much prefer using my Charcoal Goods or Timeless. For me I appreciate the craftsmanship while using it, and I enjoy the fact that it’s a piece of functional art that someone designed and created. The Shave is certainly not 60.5 times better, but for me it’s a small thing that gives me enjoyment on a daily basis and something that I appreciate. Many of the brushes that I use are made by hand as well by talented craftsmen. I know that I can make lather just as well with an $8 synthetic, but again I get enjoyment out of seeing and feeling the craftsmanship while I use it. The same thing goes for Soaps. I could use Soaps that are MUCH Cheaper than the Grooming Dept, B&M Reserve, and Wholly Kaw with Donkey Milk, but for me the scents and performance of the Soaps are worth it to me. I consider it a small luxury, and for me it makes my shave that much more enjoyable. I don’t think using a $230 Razor or a $3 Razor makes anyone a sucker, it’s just personal preference. I don’t think anyone is saying all of these things make for a better Shave, but if it’s something that brings you enjoyment I don’t see anything wrong with it. I would never look at someone who uses a $3 Razor and a Palm Olive Shave stick and think they’re a sucker. If it’s accomplishing what you’ve set out to do then all is well. I used to hate shaving, but now it’s something I look forward to, and my shaves are better to boot.

I could not have said it any better.  I am not saving any money in this hobby.  I am in it for the enjoyment.  My journey has taken a truly mundane, unpleasant activity and turned it into 20 minutes that I look forward to every day.

I'll accept that. Wink

2nd & 3rd shaves were excellent Loving this razor. It appears to me that it holds the blade very rigid, much like my Timeless but as smooth as the .68 with the efficiency of the .95

If this is true, then I might have to contemplate getting one. Shy

This razor is excellent! First shave today extremely comfortable and smooth shave but the efficiency has me amazed... My neck can give me a little trouble but I went against the grain first time with the razor and zero irritation. If the scratch resistance holds true we are in for something special with this one.

I caved in and ordered one this weekend...really looking forward to this one. Shavemd if the comparison with the Timeless .6-.95 is spot on I will have found my grail razor as the Timeless is tops for me right now.

9 hours post shave and still DFS. Few whiskers in my tough spots on my neck. I truly am amazed, I can get these results with the Asylum Rx, Cobra Classic but not with the smooth, irritation free shave of the SS paradigm.

I just had my first shave with the PARADIGM 17-4 and I'm shocked!

I don’t own but have extensively tried (borrowed) many high end stainless steel razors. I mostly use hollow & extra-hollow straight razors and lately the Colonial General and the IKON MR-SE. I own a Mühle R41 and a Schöne OC razor, but I infrequently use them.

Almost no blade feel, the razor shaves amazingly well in multiple angles. I got a BBS in 2 passes with zero irritation. Usually I need 3+cleanup with whatever razor I use.

I have no idea how this razor does it's magic. I find the handle length and razor weight to be ideal.

FYI, I paid for the razor and it's a lot of money Smile

Great Mohammad! Happy2 Yes, not cheap but this DE is worth every penny.

Granted only one shave down. Face and head shave this am.

The comments that it shaves as smoothly as a Timeless .68 but as efficiently as the .95 are spot on having owned both. The 17-4 stainless is unique looking. Reading about this type of steel last night in bed was fun. I love that the razor is not as heavy as a Rockwell 6S. A lot of razors are getting too heavy, large  and cumbersome imo. The 17-4 is perfectly weighted. The handle length and grip are absolutely spot on. The head comes together beautifully and was really well thought out.

One shave thoughts. Little to no blade feel at all but as efficient as that T .95 and close to the Blackbird SB but oh so much more comfortable. Exactly what I’ve been searching for. Nice lather channels similar to a Progress/Timeless. Paradigm did their homework and it shows.

This might very well end up being the razor I use ‘9 out of 10 times.’

Also, please no more my $3.80 razor shaves me just as well talk in this Thread. That’s just starting trouble.
