Paladin Chief 26mm in Tortoise. I think the Handle looks gorgeous and I’m excited to try this knot out, knot notes sound great! Thank You Dark Holler Crew!
The opposite side of that one looks really great, with the gold tones shining through.

Will do, I’ll report back soon.

I ordered one brush each from the past two drops, and I am very pleased with both of them! I was skeptical that there could be that much variability in badger knots, but I confess that I have been schooled.
I generally agree with the Knot Notes posted for the CLSA5 knot on Paladin Shaving. The hairs are noticeably softer than my CSNL2 knot, and the knot has bloomed wider post cleaning-up lather.
As of now, I do not have a strong preference for one knot over the other. I appreciate the scrubby feel of the CSNL2, and I have used it at least twice a week since getting it.
Does the CLSA5 bring something new to the table for me? It sure does, and I look forward to using it.
