I second that! It seemed smooth from my end! I picked up a Jade Sumo, glad it was a 24mm because I prefer smaller knots. Believe it or not this will be my largest brush.

Eighty-one brushes sold out in under 30 minutes. Thanks to all for the terrific support and apologies for any frustration or disappointment. But I think we're making progress toward working through and beyond the latter. There will be another release within about a week.

Right now we're going through the orders in an effort to identify multiples. We'll do our best to combine shipping and issue corresponding refunds. If anyone who has already purchased a brush, a soap, or a balm would like to add a soap and/or a balm, we'll combine shipping for those orders as well as long as they're made before midnight our time. I'll start printing labels first thing in the morning.

We had several customers who participated in previous releases ask if we could send them copies of the front and back photos of brushes they purchased. We didn’t want to take on additional administrative burden at the expense of brush production, so we decided to see if the photos could be automatically sent along with emailed order confirmations. Cody worked with a contract developer to add that feature. It took longer than we expected, but was finally ready (we thought) in time to incorporate in the release this past Sunday. It worked perfectly when he tested it.

Unfortunately, we received a report this evening of a customer whose order confirmation included two photos that were front views of different brushes, neither of which matched up with the serial number of the brush he had selected, the brush delivered to him today, or the photo on its accompanying owner’s card. He received the right brush, just not the correct photos with the order confirmation.

We’ll be surprised if his experience turns out to be unique, and we apologize in advance for any confusion that might result. If we can’t get this resolved with a reasonable investment of time and additional expense, we may have to go back to what we used before. However, we plan to continue posting front-side photos in our Flickr Gallery.

I received my Jade Falstaff 24mm brush in today's mail.

The handle is finished quite well and of a very high quality.
My initial impressions are that this brush is a bit smaller than I expected and the knot seems smaller then the other 24mm knots which seem to be my preferred size. That being said it is still quite comfortable to use. The brush does have a little funk to it but it's not bad and should fade quickly.

I did a quick test lather with the brush immediately followed by a second lather and a shave because I wanted to test the brush and didn't want to wait until tomorrow morning. The knot is absolutely outstanding. It's about as soft as my Rooney Emilion brush (the softest knot I own) but very much better in terms of backbone. The brush has a nice backbone, and it is ultra soft with zero scritch. Pretty much a perfect combination for me. This thing feels exceptional on my face and I'm sure it's going to quickly become one of my absolute favorite brushes.

I do wish I would have ordered a 26mm knot (in maybe a larger handle), so I'll have to pick up one of those as soon as the opportunity presents itself. It's not like I was going to stop at one of these brushes anyway. Overall, I'm very happy with the purchase as the brush is quite impressive.

Seems like that task would detract time from your work and eat into your margins. Also seems a little odd of a request in that you already post photos that you could print yourself or, you know, you can do a photo shoot yourself once the brush arrives if that's something you're in to. I like accessories but this seems like a pain in the mule-side. When my sister would get a new cabbage patch kid they always came with a photo and a birth certificate. Not to stir the pot with more request ideas out there Wink. It seems a little much. Just mho.
Kudos and congrats to another round of really handsome brushes- I enjoyed looking over your web photos!! And congrats to all the happy new owners!! -

Ken,

Thanks very much for updating that here. I have a calender set up for east coast time of 9pm. We will see how it goes. Just created my account and everything so I'm ready to pull the trigger.

Thanks so much for the update, Ken. Is there a list of the knot sizes of the pics on Flickr? Specifically, are any 28mm knots being offered in this release?
All the best,

Michael P
