Here's just one example of why I don't buy PAA products anymore. Apparently, someone is upset over another artisan releasing a vastly superior aftershave for less money - and felt the need to put this dig out there today:

They're the same price though, right? I assume you're referring to Barrister's Reserve?

CORRECTION: PAA Sin costs less than B&M Reserve

Same price as most PAA aftershaves, but only BR includes free shipping without a minimum order.

True dat, I always forget about the shipping. And I'm sure the BR will be a superior product. I like PAA aftershaves, but the prices are a little steep IMO. They should be down around $15-$17 at the most.

You see, every time I feel like I'm going to take the PAA plunge, they come out with some silly stuff that turns me off. Oh well, lol.....

They were okay at $14.95-18.95 but then the price crept up to $19.95+ - most are now $24.95 and there's even a couple at $29.95.  Which is crazy, if you ask me.  Let's compare the ingredients:

$25 for a small 120ml or 150ml AS from an Aristan is a bit high if you ask me, as a few have already pointed out too. Then there is the public forum jabs at other makers, personal shots at members or digs at specific forums.

On one hand it's nice to see some of these guys interacting, but sometimes they need to just shut up, stay out of it and sell their stuff.

I have a few screen shots from well praised artisans that you'd be surprised to see. They post, it stirs up crap, then they delete it.

I don't have any of the PAA AS so can't comment on that but I have always observed what at least seems a mutual respect between Will and Smythe.

Isn't the screen cap a tongue and cheek reference to the fact that Sin [Spanish=without] is unscented and a nod to the fact that B&M doesn't offer the same? May be completely mistaken of course.

Maybe it's just me, and maybe it's because I don't pay enough attention(which is a good thing IMO, and I won't change that) but I don't see how the release of an unscented splash is a dig, nor do I see whom it is meant to be a dig towards...

Like I said, I fully accept that I don't "get it" through my own lack of effort, but it seems that a "dig" would need to be understood in order to really be a dig. Otherwise it is just an "inside joke"...

No, it's a direct jab at Will... You'll note that on the Barrister's Reserve site, it says "The World's Most Advanced Aftershave." And yesterday afternoon when the site went live, Smythe was quick with, "Ahhh the Most Advanced aftershave! Love it." This is just Part Deux.

As for "...that doesn't stink!" - it can be taken one of two ways. One, that Sin lacks a scent (thereby suggesting other PAA aftershaves stink) or...
