I think the real difference is in blade exposure, per the top cap being much narrower on the SS versus the Aluminum versions.
I can't post photos here but I do have them, as a comparison.
The PAA DOC SS is very aggressive; on the 1-10 scale, I have the R41 '13 as an 8, the R41 '11 as a 9 along with the ShaveCraft Tech, and a Devette (virtually any version I've created) and the DOC SS as a 10. Difference being that while the DOC SS is aggressive, it's not terribly efficient; I can get a closer shave in two passes with a much less aggressive razor, such as the RR Hawk, the SC Tech, or a number of others.
