I can't speak for those "people" but speaking for myself, who's been into wetshaving for >15 years, and happens to have an extensive background in science, the dynamics of lather has crossed my mind.

I love this approach personally. Understanding why and how things work, and being able to troubleshoot problems is one of the things that brings my enjoyment of this hobby to another level. No need to feel bad for us though Hector, I am happily one of those people! Rather than exhausting I find the process enlightening, and helpful, when others seem unable to find solutions to their problems. But I can understand how this approach isn't for everyone.

Erm, no one is begrudging you your way of living life hrfdez, but your comment warranted a reply. What is and is not "over-analysis" is quite subjective.

My apologies I don't get aroused by creamy lathers or scientific analysis that doesn't save lives, but that's me.  I'm more simplistic when it come to things of banality in nature.

And still my opinion, nothing more.  That's what a conversation is about right? We share opinions and font always agree.

I noticed in these type of forums, if one don't agree with the status quo or the self appointed experts, one is wrong.  I laugh about it and find it funny, but it is what is.

Nobody said you were wrong. Just a difference of opinion, that's all. Or did I miss something?

This is my honest, unbiased, nothing to gain nor lose opinion:

I see an intelligent conversation about the merits of analysis vs. the merits of just enjoying the shave.

I see a couple of replies that jokingly make fun of themselves for being analytical.

I see Hector making seemingly disparaging remarks about the conversation of analysis.

I do not claim to know Hector's intentions, but I do think the last couple of comments have come across as him being upset or in some other way offended with the course of the conversation.

Please understand that I am not claiming to "know" what Hector intends, I am simply trying to provide my unbiased observation on the course of the conversation...

BadDad  No offense whatsoever, it is an Internet forum after all.  Is all good on my side.

PS.  I wasn't disparaging the analysis conversation, I was just stating "my personal fact" that I don't get excited about it.  People don't have to like it, but it is my prerogative.  Like I said is all good.  It takes much more than that to offend me, I don't have an ego to bruise. Smile
