I have been wanting a Silvertip for quite some time and finally ordered one. I had it narrowed down to Shavemac, Thater, Vie-Long, and Epsilon and decided on the Thater 4125/2 Silvertip 3 band bulb with black handle. Up to now I have been using a Simpson Colonel X2L in best and some synthetic brushes which I also enjoy immensely. I was looking for a very soft brush to use for face lathering and heard Thater would be a good choice. I don't think I have been more anxious to receive an order since I started.

Congratulations!!! I've never tried thater but I love my shavemac and then I got the 2013 LE semogue and it was a joy as well. I really think it can be difficult to choose with the top manufacturers making such excellent brushes.

Thanks. It is difficult to choose, or at least it was for me.

I hear a lot of good things on the Fine brushes. They make a nice synthetic too.

Fine does make a great synthetic brush - the Angel Hair brush. Nice backbone and soft bristles! Well made too!
