Well, that's the razor, carrying case, canvas tote bag, and travel cream and balm. Probably would not be a bad deal if you could just buy the razor.

It’s a lot of fillers to justify a ridiculous price.

Still not justified !

Never once said the cost was justified, just that it would be cheaper if it didn't come with all that kit. I have a waxed canvas sleeve for my iPad, it's way overpriced so I suspect that canvas holder costs more than one would expect.

The hybrid is literally half the price of the genesis. While I love my Genesis, I still think it's overpriced, and the hybrid is as well. I may have been tempted by the hybrid if it was available when I bought, probably not, but maybe. The OneBlade line is expensive. They certainly are not shooting for your typical WalMart Gillette Fusion shopper.

Only one blade fits? The photo looks like a Feather DE. NO?

No, the blade is a Feather FHS blade and the only other razor that uses that blade is an AutoStrop which hasn't been made for over 60 years. Why Feather kept the manufacturing line of the FHS blade open all these years since the demise of Auto Strop and the invention of OneBlade, I don't know. Some folks (like me) have modified a despined Gem blade and gotten better results like 6 - 8 shaves per blade. Still, not the most economical razor in terms of cost or supplies, but it does give an excellent shave. I used my Genesis tonight and got a two pass BBS without any effort (which I have come to expect from my OneBlade).

I got the One Blade Hybrid razor and Like it very much. THE closest smoothest shave I can get with the least burn or weepers. THE blade last 2 great shaves for me. Can get a 3rd shave but I'm OK with 2 per blade. I buy blades when One blade has a sale! Usually 15% off. Love the razor! The razor is an everyday razor with no problems for me.

people use the standard GEM SE blade in them as well. some clip the blades so they lock into place while others don't bother doing that.

How does the Hybrid compare to the Genesis? I have looked at both ALL DAY LONG. The Genesis is around $250 today and the Hybrid is around $150 with the additional discount offered with a 6 month blade subscription.

I already have Genesis. It’s heavy. I also have Core and it broke after few uses so don’t buy Core. I have ordered Hybrid today. If you ask me go with Hybrid. They have 30 days return policy so you should be good.

That’s what I was leaning towards. I actually like the looks of it too. I saw the copper version and it’s price but kind of got excited about it until I realized it was only a copper colored/rose gold PVD coating!

Interesting mechanics.  A middling price point with a parts swap.  It’s a lot of distance to cover between the Core at sub $100 and the Genesis at $400.  The poster above may be on to an alternative with aluminum, all aluminum or perhaps aluminum head steel handle.  My experience is with the Core, a fabulous razor, though the least sex of the three.
