I saw this so I thought why not $20 I will try it. I will give my opinion on it after I received it and shave with it for about a week. I guess One Blade is going to move on with Core as I assume the plastic was not very popular and the original cost.

I also purchased for $20. As expected, shaved like a mild $30 razor. Quality wise, more like a $60 razor. I wll admit more to learn with the pivoting head. Could become a bargain or extra razor ?

I tried the all steel version and the core...returned both of them. I think the blades kind of annoyed people too...being locked into a specific blade and only being able to buy it from a select few vendors (at the time, not sure how it is today)...I know the GEM blades fit, but they don't lock into place and then having to nibble them to make them fit is more than some people want to be bothered with...

that aside though, I think the oneblade gensis is an absolutely gorgeous razor...wish it worked out for me!

good luck with it! can't hurt to try it for $20!!!

I also bought it on sale about a month ago. I've used it about 10 times so far, & have pretty much decided that the Dorco PL-602 is more efficient, more comfortable, & a heck of a lot cheaper.

So far after two shaves it is rough. I am not sure I have a bad blade, but I experience the blade tugging on my hairs. So I swapped out the blade for another one and try again in the morning.

I tried it and meh. Not very effective for me.
I tried to fit a despined Gem blade and it was even worse. My opinion on the Feather blades, from the Valet Autostrop, is that they are mediocre.

There was some wiggle with thr Gem blade which i stopped with the feather blade as a shim. After the shave i tried to see if the blade could lock into place better, so I pushed it harder in and it cut off the blade stops, its plastic after all.

The box was actually very nice.

I think you have to use a nibbler tool (or something like that) on the gem blades to make them lock into place.

I actually found a GEM blade was held in place well just by friction. Guess I got lucky in that respect. But I agree that the shave quality was worse than with the included Feathers.

I took a blade in the middle of the pack and the shave was so much better. So I was correct it was a bad blade and that is shame I would expect better quality on feather blades especially for a razor that are designed for and are exclusive too.

Well it will be a good travel razor at best and $20  did not hurt the bank, but I will use for travel or camping.

I have to amend this a bit.

I used it this morning and got quite a good shave, no irritation. Feather blade, 1-1/2 days growth. I think the key bit was the use of a very small amount of Pacific Shaving cream & lots of water, no brush, just trying to get the skin super slick. Audio & shave quality were much better than before. I'll have to try using it similarly with a GEM blade.
