Hector, from what I understand, the OneBlade you and I own, the original OneBlade, is PVD coated. It is just coated the same color as the metal. The BlackBlade is PVD coated with the same stuff, but it is black instead of steel colored.

To your question Brian, I'm no expert, but 316L stainless steel has little chance of rusting, coated or not. It is simply an extra layer of protection.

And regardless of this, as long as OneBlade is in business, your OneBlade is covered under warranty.

Now, that would have been a great improvement.

Got it.  I just don't know what's the need of it on 316L GSS, but it really doesn't matter. Smile  You are absolutely correct 316L will not rust with or without the coating, they use it for marine fittings, so go figure, that's a tough puppy.  But, SS is not infallible, you still have to take care of it.

So it's $2,500 for the first 100 BlackBlades.
If memory serves me right the 100 first [silver] OneBlades were $1,000-1,500/each.
Maybe there will be a parallel offering of black OneBlades in a few weeks/months at the same price point ($299) once the initial 100 have been sold.

I can see $2500 in a Kickstarter to raise funds....but once the company is up and running, I don't see the point.

Even if there were 100 of them, it isn't that limited in the grand scheme of things.

I'd be curious to know how many One Blade users are out there that paid full price for the razor. Looks like another forums Schill Mod already has one....no surprise really.

All evidence has been buried, all tapes have been erased.

The first 101 Smile  Go figure the number.  But the thing is that is supposed to be a LE release.  I guess we will have to wait and see.  From a business stand point, it would be more profitable to offer them at the $299.00.

An example, I used to be very involve in the golfing business as a designer and a producer, the owner of Go Daddy started his own golf equipment company this year, but the prices are so outrageous for a non proven piece of equipment, that it will not be able to compete with Ping,Taylor Made or Callaway.  Just a few people will pay the price just to say they did.

You have a lot of guys like these gents all over the business world, most of them tank within the first year, some of them survive like PRGR Golf, but just on a small market, which is not even profitable in most cases.

I saw one on another site where a moderator was showing it, I guess it was a freebie, but who knows, some of these guys will spend the money just to say the did, lol......

Ravi, from TSN, was showing pictures of his off as a gift from OneBlade.  His original though, he claims to of paid for out-of-pocket.  He was one of the first people to have given an in depth review when not many other people were giving it a chance. OneBlade is now a sponsor of TSN, and Ravi is an admin there.

I think Ravi gave an unbiased favorable review (paid for with his own time and money) , OneBlade worked out a sponsorship, and OneBlade sent a gift. Sounds fair enough to me.

But so far, Bruce, I haven't seen anybody else pushing it. Do you have a name or a web link?
