Samples arrived. My first impression is, they almost all smell incredibly sweet/sugary/feminine.

I’ve only lathered a couple, so it’s too early for me to fully judge. They do lather up great and are very slick.

That's how I'd describe 85% of the 25 samples I got from MW. Way too sweet for me. Although several are very nice, those without the sweetness.

You forget the artificial/chemically scent...

Great soap. Strong smells that are enjoyable. First soap that I've ever used (after trying more than 100 brands) that every scent I've tried burns my face as if I'd just used alum after a bad blade. After reporting it on my soap review thread (still rating them high) I've had a few other folks PM me to say they have the same experience. Guess I lost the genetic lottery on that one. Bummer.

It happens...I have had two brand do the same to me and both are highly regarded in the wetshaving community...CRSW and Stirling both irritated my face. At first, I thought it was just a fragrance, but after trying a bunch of different fragrances, I came to the conclusion it had to be the base...C'est la vie.

Thx. I like MW scents, but the performance isn't good enough IMO.

You just have to learn how to dial it in my friend. Wink It's one of my top soaps. Have you tried a synthetic brush?

Yes. I use synthetic...can't get this as slick and creamy as I want to. Have tried dozens of times.
