How are you liking the new brush?  Does it gel and is it as dense as the shd knots?

The brush is as good as my first OKU brush.  The only difference is that the loft on this one is a little taller, which helps the knot bloom much more than in the white Serrano. However, it does not make the brush floppy. It still has a very decent backbone and, in my opinion, the larger bloom enhances the followthrough and the lather release. The density of the OKU brushes knots is in the same category as the SHD Oumo knots, but the individual hairs seem to be finer in the knots in my Serranos. Gel-like characteristics are present but not as overwhelming as in the Oumo "Hook" knots. All in all the my Serranos are keepers and some Oumo knotted brushes are going to appear on the BST soon.

I arrived home from work today and found the package from ŌKU in my mailbox.  Upon opening the box, I was pleasantly surprised by the attention to detail in the presentation and packaging of the brush.  I know the presentation and packaging aren’t everything but it does add a lot to the overall experience.

Clint, thank you so much for your kind words. I often joke with my wife (Paz) that our packing takes longer than making the brush.
She takes very seriously the whole presentation and attention to details. Not only through the packaging process but throughout the entire production. A lot of handles, leather cases have gone in the bin even some items that were lined up for final assembly.
We wanted to provide and pleasant experience start to finish.
I really hope that you enjoy your Botiho.

Well I have now got  two OKU brushes and I love them both. Paco and Paz make wonderful brushes and  the knots are some of my favorites. Both of mine are Jerte  26mm bulb.  I hope to get a 28mm at some point.  Here are some pictures of the newest one.

 great brushes. The knots have very soft tips with good backbone and great flow through. I highly recommend the OKU brushes and Paco is a great guy to deal with and talk to in general.
