NYLON SPACERS??

I swap handles frequently and with the different sizing markings made on the baseplate I’d avoid by using these spacers only make sense.

Using spacers… anything less would be uncivilized.

Since they're nylon, wouldn't the spacers increase the chance of the head accidentally loosening up mid-shave?

Something more compressible—like neoprene or silicone rubber—might be better.

John Rose...IDK? I've never had a razer head losen while shaving. But, something more 'compressible' might be better?

Are some of the best.

Both my WR2 heads came with spacers and my Timeless razors came with spacers. Never had a problem with the heads getting loose.

Dumb trend started by Karve. People kept using them and now everyone does.

Soon someone is going to invent DE blade condoms, to prevent the blade from touching the plates or something like that and people will buy it.

The ones I got from Karve were rubber and intended purely for transportation purposes. I assume so the handle wouldn‘t loosen during transport. There was also a note in the box to this effect.

SharpnShiny...I've been trying to find out when 'Karve' first started? I only did a quick check, but it seems they began making razors in '2018. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. 

I've been aware of 'Nylon Washers' being used much earlier than '2018. In fact, when I purchased my last 'Butterfly' razor, 9+ years ago, it was a topic of discussion and folks were using them. IDK? Maybe I'm wrong?

I’m probably wrong, I started roaming the forums in 2017 and I never really heard of people using nylon rings to protect the razors. I know when Karve started selling razors, they included a rubber ring to protect the base plate from the handle until it reached the customer. I remember watching reviews on it and people would mention the ring like it was alien to them so it was not the norm back then. From there it kinda became a thing that people just do with every razor and justify using it with a bunch of reasons that doesn’t make sense to me.
