Nice haul Paul!
Thanks Paul.

I like to go in with the mindset that my biggest takeaway for any visit needs to be the smelling of soaps, not the purchases.

To that end, I went through quite a few in my short short trip. I found many that would have disappointed or just been so-so , based on what I thought from their descriptions.

If I sniffed 20 soaps, at an average of $20 each... only bought three... I saved $340 in future 'failed' purchases. Not bad, IMO. [Image: giphy.gif?cid=349c9dd7odu6cb7elf3ok9cpgo...y.gif&ct=g]

Did you check out any Los Jabones de Joserra soaps?

Pretty amazing performance and scents in my experience.

I smelled one that I was curious about: Sweet & Dandy. I tend towards gourmand scents. However, it was way too complex for my tastes, albeit still a good scent.

They had quite a few others, however, by time I found their section my family was urging me to go. Lol.

Ooh well.

Bummer. Ya, Sweet and Dandy is probably my least favorite. The tobacco offering is worth a look.

This just arrived this morning, and I'm super excited!

For anyone who didn't know (as I didn't!)... This is the same scent as the Original WCS Gatsby.

Our friends at Phoenix were the brains behind this creation and carried on this Wonderful scent after Gatsby's discontinuance.

It's going to kill me, waiting until tomorrow to use it. Patience is a virtue in short supply today.

Thanks again CaD314 ![Image: 2dfadb449e932134afe4882d4cc44c33.jpg]

Just in from Italy Styletto Goodfellas Black razor which is made from 316 stainless steel/titanium. PVD coated for additional protection. Weight at 3.9 oz the balance feels fantastic. The black Styletto is the most aggressive out of the three models they sell. Tomorrow morning is the acid test. The razor is a combination of real stainless steel and titanium. The coating is added last.

Sold this Birth Year and Quarter Delta Echo Cubano to Ed Somnos like 3 years ago. I'm glad it's back home with me and will hold a more special place for me now that Ed is gone.

Lucky, I figure that if I had smelled every soap I owned before I bought them that my soap stash would be a lot smaller than it is.  Its not just that some (most) soaps don't smell anything like you think they will from the description online or that you some you just don't care for, theres also the ones that smell identical to one or more others that you already have and may or may not care for.  For example you may love the scent of Stirling Island Man but not care for the base - solution?  Oleo Bonaire in the duck tallow base is the same scent. May or may not be a preferable base for you.  I find that I get pulled in to certain scent descriptions that wind up being the same scent and if I'm not expecting that I don't usually like it.  Visiting Pasteure, now that would be fun.
