My youngest of three sons, now 25 - just asked to start his wet shave journey. Of course I jumped at the chance to set him off on the right foot. Don't want him to have to struggle building a lather. He needs a quick quality experience.

My suggested product was easy.

Sir Henry Unscented...... A 5 minute how-to session with a synthetic brush and he got a slick low profile face butter a veteran would be proud of.

A Mamba razor, Personna Red blade, and a Gamechanger synthetic rounded out his start.

Round 2 will be around the corner - as well as da older 2 brothers.

Any suggestions or comments?

Thx in advance

FYI, our new BTRC line uses the same base.

Timeless bowl is super inexpensive, unbreakable, and will help with lather.  I love my mist bottle for adding water.  Nice starter set.  Mamba 53 or 70?. Is the 53 too mild?

I think Chiseled Face and Summer Break are other good options for soaps that perform well and build a quality lather very easily.

Catie’s Bubbles might be another good option

Lothur has nice modern scents. And easiest soap to lather.
Razorcompany is going to release "Blue" as summer scent.
A&E or The club is another good option for younger generation.

TOBS creams build a great lather, almost instantly in the Timeless bowl, using a synthetic brush.  It takes me about 20 to 30 seconds to fill the bowl with most TOBS creams.  I recommend the Royal Forest.  Most young people love that scent.  There is a matching TOBS aftershave balm to go with it.  I typically use Perfumers Choice Victor No. 9 spray to finish ($10-$20 on Amazon, and IMHO the best value of the Aventus clones).

Ahh. So TOBS Royal Forest is an homage to Aventus?
