New Wolfman 'Guerrilla' Razor?

I found these images of a new style of Wolfman Razor called the 'Guerrilla'. There was a discussion that James said he was offering a razor that was about performance rather than aesthetics, and would be a machined, not finished razor, that would allow him to utilize his assistant and second machine.

The word is that these will be readily available since they don't require finishing.

I've just heard about it, couldn't find anything more doing searches, so I don't know if this is legit, but here's the link to the images:

Actually the 2 designs are quite different. The WR 1 uses "bars" on the top cap to secure the blade while the Guerrilla uses round posts on the baseplate (similar to the Black Mamba).

I read that part. I was referring to the mating surfaces that run parallel to each other on the cap and the base plate. Ultimately those surfaces seem to be what gives my Wolfe the rigid blade feel it has. Either way a welcome addition to the lineup.

Not trying to be negative, but we've seen a lot better things from James. I don't see this as an improvement. We've seen a lot of improvements from other makers, offering various innovative designs of the same quality, unlike this one. If I am not mistaken, the only similarities with the Wolfmans is the material and the shop. They will be made by a different person. The head looks bulkier than his usual designs. The high demand will be fullfilled somehow, but with an inferior product and this is maybe a downshift. And this is my opinion.

That Plain Jane handle looks slippery. I wish James well, but unless people buy just for the name this razor needs to perform in a ever increasingly crowded market.

from my understanding this is supposed to be a value line. same geometry and shave of the wr-1 without the extensive hand finishing and customization. this allows for wider availability and a lower price. i don't know what other designs you're looking at but the head looks about the same on my monitor. i guess you could say a bmw 3 series is an inferior product compared to the 7 series but i'd still take one over a hhr.

I agree completely. At the target price he indicated this will be an excellent value for those wanting Wolfman performance in a more plain wrapper without the wait. I think he will have a real winner here.
