No, the razor handle is actually constructed of 3 pieces and sealed: The majority of the handle is a hollow steel tube, then there are solid caps press fit into either end that seal the hollow tube and complete the razor.

Mine arrived today. Really looking forward to my first shave with it on Sunday. I find the quality to be excellent. Tolerances are excellent as well as the finish. Based on looks and finish alone I have to say that my two Wolfman offerings put my ATT to shame. What were always referred to as ATT's "signature machining marks" under the cap just look unfinished now. The Guerrilla looks to retain all of the positive blade clamping characteristics of the WR1 for the most part which I hope gives it the same rigidity and stability through the shave. The handle on the Guerrilla is slightly wider and slightly shorter than I'd like but the handle and head feel balanced and look good together. The threading feel as the handle is tightened is very smooth. Above the feel if ATT but below the WR1.

Update to add that the first shave was very nice. I find the razor to be efficient but for me it is more mild than my standard gap Wolfman. While the gap on the Guerrilla is larger I believe, it's wider stance and slightly longer safety bars make the shaving angle more shallow. I had a better blade feel on my Wolfman. No handle slippage issues at all. I actually didn't even think about it once while using it. Overall the razor is great and I'm looking forward to using it more. Only a small area of irritation on my trouble spot on my neck but this happens with milder razors as I have to hit the area more than I'd like. My WR1 navigates that area in one pass.

Had my second shave today and it was again a nice one. The only area that has suffered again is the neck. Not sure why but the slightly wider head and shallower angle seem to be having difficulty clearing that neck area as well as my WR1. I've also noticed a little less glide than my polished WR1 head but not much. Razor is great in my straight aways, under the nose, and around the chin though. The Guerrilla would be great as a persons first DE razor in the performance dept. in my opinion. Very stable and safe setup.

I finally got the email reply from him, took just under 4 weeks. Just waiting for him to send the invoice now, and hopefully after that it comes here quickly. Smile

I'd like to hear how those two compare in blade feel, aggressiveness and efficiency. I've used the ATT R1 extensively.

I had use of a Guerrilla for about two weeks and owned the (aluminum) Calypso R1 for a while. So not exactly what you are asking about, but fairly close. I enjoyed both razors, but they are both just a little too mild for my taste. (I sometimes shimmed the R1, which made it even better. The Guerrilla head design is such that it is difficult to shim.)

The blade is a bit more exposed in the Guerrilla, yet the razor feels just slightly milder than the Calypso R1. I would say that the Calypso R1 is just slightly more efficient than the Guerrilla, but the Guerrilla does a fine job once you get the angle right.

The Calypso R1 is more nimble (chalk it up to the aluminum, especially), but the head of the Guerrilla is actually quite slender. I have to say that even though the Atlas handle design is great, I really, really enjoyed the handle on the Guerrilla. If the razor were half of its current price, I’d probably buy it just for the handle. Smile That hollow handle makes the weight and feel of the Guerrilla just perfect, in my book.

Didn’t use either razor for an extensive period of time, but I hope this still helps in some way.
