Does anyone have information on this new razor that Grooming Department has been posting “Tease” shots of on Instagram It looks to me me like a copy of the Blackland Vector.

Pathetic. I know how much work it takes to create a new product even if you didn't design it. It's frustrating, slow, expensive, and demanding. It takes a lot of work and ambition. Now imagine waking up every morning and using that drive and passion to just exactly copy somebody else's hard work. Truly a sad waste of the limited time we have.

When I set out to create an SE, I vowed that if I couldn't solve a problem and bring something new to the table then I wouldn't make one at all. I didn't want to create just another Mongoose copy. Clearly this guy doesn't operate to the same standard or he lacks the creativity to actually design something on his own. Either way, it's shameful and he should be embarrassed.

The guy sent me the razor to try it and to give him my opinion. The only similarity I see with the Vector is the size. I talked to Shane and I understand his position. I told the guy who designed it about Shane's concerns, and he plans to modify his design.

I have no ties of any sort to the person who designed this razor.

Mohammad, you know I love you, but this isn't true. The narrow center post, the overall style, even the way the safety bar support tapers on either side. All Vector. Even the width of the safety bar and step-down on either side are pure Vector. You can also tell that the thickness of the top cap and base plate are extremely close to the Vector. And no other razor on the market is that thin. The only differences are that this guy decided to make the back look like it melted for some reason, the blade posts are now elongated tabs, and the center slot is circular (which is particularly dumb because that slot is purposeful and very useful). None of those differences are substantial.

I love you too Shane Smile You're the designer and you have a better eye and understanding of your razor design which you poured your heart in. This is why I didn't hesitate to recommend to this guy to work on a different design altogether.
