You could always install an air compressor in your shave den to thoroughly dry the razor after every shave! Tongue

Very good point - we're not targeting everyday shavers with this estimate. We're hoping this campaign can appeal to individuals just being introduced to single-blade shaving. Experienced Classic shavers know how many shaves they get out of each blade, they definitely don't need to be told!

Fair enouigh, Gareth, so why not simply say "between one and two years?"  Even one year for 100 blades at $10.00 is inexpensive and new DE shavers may take that "two years" literally and try to stretch the use of each blade longer than they should for their beard and skin type.  You might not have happy campers if they do.  Just my 2¢.

blades are already cheap and me personally love your blades. Please post an final update if you guys decide to do the internals in brass, I know its not about the price in difference of the materials itself, its the price cost that's more expensive when it comes to working the brass that keeps you away from keeping away from lower price point on the razor.

Anyways I will join the kickstarter if internals are being changed to brass and if kickstarter is still open.

Andrew, this might not, necessarily, be true if the Swedish steel lives up to its name. The steel being used might be of very good quality.
I have been getting up to 10 very good shaves with my Iridium Super DE blades, so these Rockwell blades might be able to exceed the standard 2-3 shaves that most get with their DE blades if they are manufactured properly.
Nonetheless, this is just a speculation on my part.

Does anyone have some of these razors, already and could offer their impressions?

yes they are good, I have gotten 5 good shaves of one Rockwell blade and could of gone 2 more, but like I said they are cheap as it is so there is no need for more than 5 shaves per blade.

The blade I discarded a day or two ago was a Rockwell blade on shave #6. To be fair, my Friday I do a one pass and most Saturday's take a one day shaving sabbatical, putting it right at a week a blade. And I was still rocking a comfortable shave on #6.

I think how long a blade last is soooooo subjective we do little good to this thread debating that point here. So much blade lasting durability depends on how often you shave, blade brand, and moreover, facial hair composition which is so varied, it can't even be subjectively measured. Personally,I think we'd be better off devoting this thread to the Model T; there is another thread independent of this one regarding the blades.

I'm going to commend Rockwell at this point. Creating a "new" adjustable in the mirror of Gilette adjustables isn't easy and frankly, is impressive. I stand by my impressions of the 6s campaign but, I will say this, for their age these guys have THICK SKIN and are determined as hell. They have my respect, and frankly I wish them well. Guys like this might just make wet shaving more than a niche even if never completely becomes mainstream again.

Definitely a fair point - we ran a lot of copy by a ton of people and settled on two years for simplicity. But I definitely appreciate the input!
