I really wanted to enjoy my .95 timeless. I bought and sold it twice. For some reason I just couldn’t get a great shave from it. I always had some bit of irritation after my shave. My goto these days are the karve F, Blackland dart, Blackland Blackbird, and the new charcoal goods WCS collab razor.

I have the R41 2011 head..very aggressive

Get the above the tie H1 and H2. The H1 is aggressive enough but the H2 is IMO more aggressive than anything except the charcoal goods lvl 3 OC. The H2 is as aggressive as the charcoal lvl 3 OC(not more).

I have yet to find anything for me that Is smoother than my SS Timeless. As woody stated above, the Karve is pretty smooth. I got one with plates D-F, and it’s a pretty smooth razor.

Lots of great suggestions. Try them all!

Never tried the Timeless, but you should definitely try both the R41 and the Fatip. You can pick up each for around $30 (R41 might be more if you get a handle with it).

How smooth is the Blackbird versus the Timeless 95? Are they pretty close in that department?

Smooth is hard to define, the Blackbird has more blade feel. I find the Timeless more capable ATG, the Blackland more efficient up to that point. I'm a head shaver so take that as just one opinion.
