Gentlemen,
I wonder, maybe too much...
HELP me out here...
Is this what a fun hobby has become?
I just rec’d a notice that there is a Re-Release Pre-Sale of a razor (offered before).
This is a nearly $300 razor and for the “Presale” the retailer appears to want the total up front.
So I thought hmmm looks interesting.
I’d like to see some information (from the retailer’s website) about this $300 razor.  Nothin.
Well, it’s mild and a daily shaver.  Dunno why anyone would want to know more than that.
The manufacturers website...Not a thing!
Zip, zero, nada, the null set.

It’s easy to guess that this thing will sell out in a typical couple of minutes.
So nobody cares...
Could be stainless, zamack, tin...could be mild or good for skinning badgers...just gotta have it, has to be polished.
Don’t care the cost, don’t care the weight, don’t care.
Is this even sane?  What the hell are we doing?
Pete

I assume you’re talking about the barbaros? They’re an established brand and have had razors around. They’re highly sought after and even harder to find. I don’t see what the conundrum is...

What "glorious" razor is this? I agree, 300 clams and no info is a no brainer for me, no go!

Ditto for me, but looks like some know more about it and can fill the gaps in for themselves. No go for me

Probably true, but the producer would have to realize not everyone knows the history of what is being sold. How much trouble is it to give some details about their offering? Just a thought...... meanwhile Pete probably went to pre order it Big Grin

I remember Barbaros, but to not even specify the metal, weight, specs, etc. or to explain the backstory on the sales page is really strange. I’m trying to look up that info and it’s not even on the Barbaros website as far I can tell. I guess enough people remember the specs for it to sell out so apparently it doesn’t matter.
