Is it written on the packaging if it's a V2?
Just ordered one from Fendrihan.ca.
Pearl website doesn't even mention the Sleek.

No idea but looking at the video I don't see any differences from what I have. I don't think that this was a design issue. I think it was a QC issue and probably and issue with whoever did the plating for them. So, if that is the case, it really wouldn't be a new version, would it?

Also, please give us a review when you get it. Also, if I were you I would check the gap as I showed how to do up thread. When the head is fully closed, the gap where the blade fits should be less than 0.005".

Sad day today...
Just got the Sleek, but it's a lemon... Sad
Totally unusable.
I've sent an email and two pictures to Fendrihan about the issue.

I had asked them if it was the V2, and they thought it was the case since they got them in august.
Will see if they want it back.
They always stand behind their sales though.

Unfortunate fblais Fendrihan is pretty good service wise. I had purchased something from them a while back and then realized I ordered the wrong item and they took care of it very quickly for me, and canceled the sale.

Fendrihan already replied, and they offered a refund or wait to get the new ones from Pearl.
I've chosen to wait for the corrected version.
Something I like about the Sleek is the lighter weight in comparison to the Parker SoloEdge, and the larger diameter of the handle.

So, I gather that the top cap bottoms out on the handle before it clamps the blade in place?

If that is so it would be so easy for the vendor to check this gap with a feeler gauge before sending any product out to a customer. It would save everybody a lot of trouble.

Even worse here, the cap's gap is uneven between both sides...
