Rabbit hole? What rabbit hole!?
I recall when I started out in this hobby 12 or 13 years ago. I had bought a badger brush and some soap at a Japanese knife store in a farmers market. E Shave was the brand. I wanted some more but it was a US vendor and expensive especially with shipping. I got talking about it with a guy I worked with and he told me about some Canadian based vendors with free shipping and he PIFed me a Merkur razor. Then he looked at me and said “beware, it’s a deep, dark hole.” At the time I thought he was kidding but he had this haunting, haunted look in his eyes that was a bit unsettling. And I went on to learn that he wasn’t kidding. Welcome to the wonderful world of wet shaving.
