does anyone else like New Forest brushes from Fido?  I think these brushes are very underrated.  I own 3 of them and love them all.  I have the 2221, 2211 & 2201 models.  I'll post photos tonight.

I have the 2201, which I believe was his first, and it hasn't been out of my rotation since I acquired it several years ago. Smile

I prefer his older brushes where the logo was etched into the handles rather than using a sticker.

Because I haven't been in the market for a brush lately, I didn't even realize he had gone to stickers. I would prefer the etching, as well.

I just looked at mine. I believe they might be painted on, not etched. part of the logo is rubbing off on my 2201.

I like the ones you posted.

BTW HI, my first post here. I am in my mid 30ies and from Bavaria, Germany,
Nef Forest brushes-

the current knots seem to be not as fine as the older ones. The ones on your photos look very nice. No gel tips on my new NF brushes though. Yet!

Welcome!

As it relates to New Forest Brushes, they are excellent brushes at a great price point.  I had two but I moved away from badger hair brushes in favour of synthetic so they were sold.  I do miss the tubby and would consider a repurchase in the future.

I would agree the New Forest brushes don't get much chatter. I have a Tubby 2 and it's a great brush and barely a hair has been shed, previous to buying it I had bought a Frank Shaving 28mm Chubby type knot and although the handle was perfect and the hair just the right softness and height it sheds every shave to the point I just don't use it any more.
The last time I checked he also offers free worldwide postage as well and a pleasure to deal with. I've included a picture of my NF Tubby 2 next to my Simpson Chubby 2 for comparison.
