so I'm gonna get straight to it. I've just found my favorite soap. As in the brand itself. It's cold river soap works. I got their modern fougere because it sounded amazing on the site. When I got it I really didn't like the smell. So I used it once and it was awesome. Put it away for months. Tried it again 4 days ago and man the scent has really popped. And the shave and post are just amazing. And the post shave is just unbelievable   It's really like nothing I've ever Felt. so moisturizing and it feels like I lathered on a tub of lotion on my face. I ordered three more scents . The limited edition, sandalwood, and Vetiver . Once I have more shave money guess what I'm buying , more crsw

I couldn't agree more. They made a great product. I only have 2 scents, both are great with maybe the best post in shavedom. They have had some marketing direction issues. My first purchase was their Bay Rum for $10. When I went back to their site a short time later everything was $25. That takes me out of my comfort zone. I bought my second Savon#1 with a big price reduction. Now I see there prices have gone down again. I really hope there price point has settled down because I really love their soaps.

I can't speak to their prices prior to only having the Select line of soaps at $25. But the recent drop in prices is because they went from $25 for 6oz of soap to $16.50 for 4oz.

Yea it's now 4oz for 16.50. Much more affordable than before. I really want to order more scents haha. I'm thinking to actually sell off some of my soap lot so I can buy the whole crsw soaps.

I've been waiting to pull the trigger on a tub. I've heard all about CRSW performance but not a lot on smells. I want to get a scent I'm sure to like. Any recommendations?

It's not actually more affordable. The price per oz is still the exact same. It's less intimidating to customers which is probably why he did it.

The Savon#1 is not for the timid. First it is robust. It uses 2 different lavenders, rosemary and cedar. The end is herbaceous not floral. I do not own Martin de Candre but I have read it is very close to their lavender.

I just used Savon #1 today and I really enjoyed it. I agree the post is among the best I've felt. The scent is complex with lavender and other floral, powder and woody scents.
I haven't tried MdC but if its like that, then its a bargain even at $25

Do yourself a favor and get their Bergamot & Bay scent. It's my favorite soap scent of anything in my den.
