new DE razor from rex supply - the envoy

I found the Rex to be a really comfortable razor. I liked setting 4. I never tried anything below that. My only issue was that it covered the blade tabs. That made the head feel too big and I had a hard time changing the blade, especially when it was wet. That is the only reason I sold mine. I hated to get rid of it. I really enjoyed the look and craftsmanship.

So...how we doing with the Envoy, RE?

Don't have the Ambassador, but do want this one.

Looks beefy and precise (great combo).

It would be the most rounded razor I have, and if it's on par with a Blackbird, Timeless 0.68 SB, or CG Level 2, I'll probably like it.

Price for razor and stand...?

The prototype looks cool, and the head looks very nice, just like the Ambassador, which is a handsome razor. I like the recessed section; it adds some personality to an otherwise flat bottom of the base plate. If people are complaining, all the more incentive to make an awesome handle that they'll want to use.

We should be on track to have Envoy ready by Black Friday.

250 Heads are done with machining and we have tumbled them + laser etched the bottom.

Waiting on handles now and packaging.

The head has a recess for our handle yes but it can be used with near any other handle too. It’s not too big of a recess. I tried a DE89 handle on the head and it worked great.

The new packaging for the envoy will be universal and allow us to also package the ambassador, stand and travel case too. It will also accommodate a longer handle razor.

So we will likely have an xl handle razor ready early 2020. Focus right now is envoy release and new packaging and holiday production / sales.
