Watson, primotenore and Chance , Try as I might, I simply can't come up with a reason to disagree with you all.

Freddy , based on what I know about you, the benefits of the OneBlade aren't important for you - just as they aren't with me.

@"iamsms", you are correct about the blade stops. The blade should not be floating freely. The blade stops do two things, just as they do with the Gem. They keep it from going too far forward as well as keeping the corner of the blade from cutting your face. I share your concern about the plastic blade stops.

Wolverine , I may have missed it, though I'm not aware of confirmation that you can use it and return it. Also, in a previous post you talked about the blade stops and being worried that the GEM blades won't work with them as the razor wasn't designed. The concern I have with the blade stops should be the same with either blade - that with either blade you have a very sharp blade connecting with plastic.

Pete, of course my first priority is a great shave.  If the CORE was better made than what I have seen written here, if it wasn't built for just one blade, which I'm not crazy about (and discounting having to jerry-rig a different blade specifically not made for the razor), if the company's customer service wasn't so controversial, if the price for this plastic razor was a bit less expensive, say $40.00, then I would certainly consider it, if for no other reason than the fun factor.  There are just too many negatives for me.  I admit to initially having been curious but that curiosity has waned the more I read about it.  Ultimately, the pivoting head, which most intrigued me about the OneBlade, simply wasn't enough to sway me.

Okay, I decided to just send an email to there customer service.  I don't want to speculate on the return policy so I just straight up asked them.

I bought a Oneblade Core, I have received it however it is unused and in the box.  I have some concerns with the razor now that I have seen it in person (mine does not seem to have any visible defects). I would like to try the razor but I need to confirm that I can still return it even though it has been used simply because I don't like it for a full refund minus my cost for return shipping.

This is not my actual email just a summary.

Looks like the are open M-F so unless I see something from someone else who has contacted them I will await their response before using it. If they don't answer my questions directly or give themselves what I believe to be a way out I will return it unused.

Freddy,

I don't think my comments regarding you were well worded. Even if they were, I don't mean to put words in your mouth.

What was in my mind when I was typing that is that you get great shaves with other razors and don't have super sensitive skin as far as I know, thus having little incentive to go for a razor and company that have the history of OneBlade and the initial comments on the new Core.

I didn't take any offense, Pete, and just took what you wrote at face value.  What you wrote in your previous post and here are true.  I guess what we're both saying is that there is really no compelling reason for me to consider the CORE.

It only cost $5 for my hype train ride and I'm off early. Now I can focus my attention on another frivolous object of desire to lavish my money on.

Like China cares about patents LMAO. Look at the $10 Futur clone for a quick reference, or Ping golf clubs, or whatever else they can copy without penalty. And people will buy it. Anything that is cheap. It's why people shop at Walmart with their store items being from there. Nobody cares, and yes it is sad, but it is true.

I think the Chinese translate "copyright" as they have the "right" to "copy" something. Cool

BTW I'm editing down an interview I did with OneBlade's CEO that may answer/explain some of the questions I've read here. Hope to have it out Sunday or Monday (it's my most complicated editing project--I used three cameras, just like a network Big Grin ).

Also...I'm getting excellent shaves from my Core now but it's not going to be in my preferred rotation (I'm too spoiled with my Genesis).
