Funny, but now Karve Shaving announced when the Overlander would drop. It dropped on schedule, and you paid, and got the razor, from Canada, within a couple of weeks. When stocks depleted, you simply sign up for email notifications when next batch ready. Seems like Chris decided to stop collecting payments and making buyers wait for stock.

My 2 cents. I want to read reviews first. The delays curbed my enthusiasm. Not saying I won't get one someday, just won't be late February or early March.

I am looking forward to using my Sabre next week. Shane hit it out of the park on that one, IMO!

Let’s not be so quick to uphold karve as a model for how to release a razor…..

So him being forthright and honest about timelines is costing him your trust? Got it.

I just pre-ordered an Era with a level 3 SB & OC plate.  I'm excited to try it out and see how well the 3d printed stuff looks & functions.

Kudos, Shane!

If I were you, I would order LV5. His new Era plates are mild. According to his chart, LV5 is more like Dart.

Sorry, what I was trying to point out was a seeming reversal of ordering models! And that I am not understanding why pay wait. Knowing me, I will be ordering one soon.

How does Shane handle the Blackbird etc? Isn't it just a notice that it's available again? That's probably his normal procedure, but with the Era he needs to get a taste for it first, so he knows it'll work smoothly. That's the impression I got from his last video.

He's been in the business for years, he knows the drill. It'll likely go smoother than he's preparing for. Still, he's enough of a veteran here to know to prepare.

I hear ya Eric MaineYooper . Karve definitely had those growing pains. I bought my CB right after the first (nasty) round of them. I'm quite happy with the rollout of the Overlander. He absolutely took a better route here. It seems to be working much better (knock on wood).

I'd be interested in this as well.

In for a a level 5 with both plates. Love my Vector and Dart so I’m sure the Era will be fantastic addition.

Haters will be haters!! It amazes me that so many people still stand by the most dishonest vendor in this business when it wasn't all that long ago he held people's money hostage for a SS run of his razor and some had to wait over a year to get their razors!! Shane is asking for people to wait like 3-4wks and he's the bad guy now... Haters will be haters!!

BTW.... How is everyone enjoying their Titanium Karve razors?? Almost what, 3yrs now and hes only produced "1" razor to date??? Stand up guy!!!

Since I may have started the comparison between Karve and Blackland, I want to make my position clearer. I am not "hating" on Shane or Blackland. I have Blackland razors and I love the Sabre. I was pointing out the difference (and apparent style flip) between them. That is all. I know there will be an Era in my razor drawer this year, but I have other new things to try now. What I learned with the CB Karve razor was plate selection can be either long term (buying and trying as you go) or expensive up front (buy all you think you'd like and then sort them out). That is what is stopping me, along with paying up front and waiting. I didn't like that with Karve, I don't think I'm flip flopping, I think I was just stating my opinion and asking why. That is all.

My apologies to Shane, I don't mean to be Debbie Downer raining on his parade.
