Whoa, great guess/idea!
That would be amazing if someone could pull that off! Not sure how since DE, SE, GEM, etc all have different blade widths, but it would be something new and very versatile.
You can do it with a half DE, injector, and (I think) GEM. I have a design for this from a few years ago and I don’t remember if GEM is in there or not. Not the Era, but it’s a unique concept. Ultimately though, like pants/shorts with zip off legs, it just did multiple things mediocrely. I think you’d probably just want to get an injector or a DE.
I don't know about safety razors, but Irving Barber Shavettes accept AC, injector, and half DE blades. Feather and KAI shavettes accept AC and injector blades. I've done all these combinations. The blades fit easily and securely, and they work fine, although not with equal effectiveness. Some people are cloning the Feather/KAI models and selling them on major outlets (e.g. Amazon), which makes me wonder what patent protection there might be. OTOH I do not see how these designs could work with full DE blades, if that is a critical requirement.

The IBC shavette is awesome. You can't really stick that concept on a safety razor very well. The cutting edge of a DE blade is 37mm and the cutting edge of an AC is 50mm. So if it's going to hold both then you have 6mm+ on either side of the DE/injector blade which is certainly not ideal for a DE razor.

Good point.

Not that much. I'd call it a light-medium amount.

At long last, I might own a Blackland Razor.
