Happy to post some images of the new tub, which I really like. Here is the puck after I formed it into the tub. It took all of 30 seconds max and I too would advocate keeping the same 3" diameter of the pucks. Piece of cake, plenty of headroom to load and the Mystic Water pucks are soft enough that it easily molds to the new tub.

The tub itself lends itself to loading and is a nice combination of depth and width.

Here it is compared to another of my favorite tubs. As you can see, same dimensions.

Thanks for posing, Kevin, and that wider container looks much better, especially with added depth for loading, as a result.

Sure thing David- I do really like this size and style container the best on the whole. That extra 13mm or so of headroom and wider diameter makes for easy, clean loading for sure.

I, also, really like the new tubs, but they aren't overly important for me as I only use this soap in shave-sticks. Big Grin

I'm really excited about these new tubs. Not that I had much of an issue with the previous ones, but these will definitely make loading easier.

One thing I will miss though is the ability to buy a refill and stick the refill's label on top of the old one. I wonder if the labels on the refill packaging will still cover the old label completely?

Rob, the older labels won't cover the newer ones, unfortunately. However, a remedy would be to just buy an empty tub with the label affixed for each of the scents you use. Big Grin

I might just have to do that! Or, maybe Michelle will sell empty containers without labels (like she currently does with the old containers) and we can just stick on the refill labels.

Michelle, I have a quick question for you. Why must the whipped shea butter be shipped only in winter? Is it especially heat sensitive? I'd like to try a shea butter product but am only interested in yours. Too bad I missed this in the winter season Sad.

I’d like to hear Michelle’s response, too, but I have an experience that maybe relates to this.

Last summer I received an order with a Dr. Jon’s Shaving Soap Co. soap in it. The package had been sitting in front of my door for a while, and at the time the temperature was probably around 38° C / 100° F. As I opened the soap tin, I was met with a stream of very fluid soap. Things kind of settled after the tin was in the fridge for a while, but judging by other reviews of the same soap, something may have been lost in the process. That soap performed very well, but I never found the scent to be anything like what others have described it to be.

Having had that experience, I can easily imagine something similar happening to a jar of whipped shea butter, when met with sufficient heat.

I try not to buy soft soaps during the summer months, emphasis on the word try. I had the same thing happened about four years ago and learned my lesson pretty fast.
