I tried every which way to lather MW. The soap would initially lather ok, but then it would collapse after about a minute. Finally, I tried reverse osmosis water that I keep around for my aquarium and it lathered like a champ. So I assume it doesn't like my tap water chemistry. I really like the scent of Jeff's Lavender.

That’s possible. I use a water softener and everything lathers well. When traveling I make sure I bring soap that works in hard water.

Which scent did that to you? It’s usually not the soap but one of the fragrance ingredients that might do that. Cinnamon seems to do it to me so I try to avoid it. It’s funny because I love cinnamon and have no problem eating it but I guess eating something and putting it on your skin are not the same thing.
Chaddy that’s interesting. I didn’t think lily of the valley is a scent that could cause a reaction but anything is possible. Lily of the valley in the garden is poisonous if you eat it. I’m not sure if it makes you sick, gives you a rash or kills you but it is a good shady area ground cover plant.
I shaved with Egyptian Dragon this morning. It’s nice. Heavy on the musk. My favourites right now are Windjammer and Adirondack Jack.
